Wonder how position coaches feel knowing the players they’re coaching are making more $$$

Freshman come in making millions while their position coach piddles around with a few 100k at most schools.
Interesting to see if their pay begins to increase.

Allegedly. Somehow I doubt they're getting anywhere near the numbers reported by the media.
Why would a freshman sitting the bench make that much money? Seems like a waste of money, especially when you consider they can transfer without penalty.
This is actually why I think most NIL numbers reported are BS.

I mean...if they don't like it they can go do whatever random, menial jobs ex-football players do. I'd rather stay in the business and get paid those few 100k as you put it.

Probably the same as NFL position coaches.

They are paid hundred of thousands to coach a game.

I could be dead wrong, but I don’t believe some of the numbers being thrown around. I’d like to see checks and 1099s of these kids. I saw somewhere Arch Manning was getting $3.5 million at Texas, but I believe that is a theoretical “valuation” of his potential NIL money, not cash in hand or a contract.

What about the millions being reported by their HS coaches?

Do you really think there are players getting paid while sitting the bench?
The only guys that likely deserve the reported numbers are playing on the field. Those guys actually bring in the revenue. The guys sitting the bench do nothing.
I can believe millions are being promised to players with performance incentives. You're a stupid business person if you're dumping millions into 5 star recruits without getting a return.

You really want us to feel sympathy and empathy for people making hundreds of thousands of dollars per year just to coach football?

They should do like anyone unsatisfied with their compensation. They should take their skills and go someplace and/or do something else making more money.
If they can.

Unlike the mouthbreathing general football fan public, position coaches are well aware all these NIL numbers thrown around (especially the really large ones) are absolute bullshite clickbait. Sure there are a handful of superstars across the country making what anyone would consider good money, but the vast majority of players are making $50k or less..in some cases (walk-ons and non starters) far less.

There is very little correlation to NIL (particularly to incoming freshmen) to “bringing in revenue.” Georgia’s revenue isn’t changing much if they pay Beck $1 million or just go with next highly recruited guy. And the Athens Community Bank’s revenue isn’t changing much either by Beck doing a commercial. This is just boosters paying money to try and help their team win. Their ROI is pride, not revenue for the one making the investment for the most part.

No different than position coaches in the NFL

Scholarship football players get paid in the SEC as a team flat rate, then I’m sure the Oline and Dline get a bump up from that…I assume the skill players are more individually compensated. My son is a kicker, so it’s flat rate for him plus any deals he can pick up based on performance. Be interesting to see that flat rate over the conference. ~$45k/yr I’d guess.

Either way, it's ludicrous & only gonna°
Get worse. When a true freshman drives a Lamborghini to his Press conference to show off, it's beyond repairing. frick the NCAA

Yes, but I also think the boosters footing the bill let the coaching staffs know their feelings about them sitting.
