These blind comparisons are stupid. Good players stuffing stats on shitty teams don't deserve POTY when their team is still shitty and losing. How many games has Anthony Edwards won for Georgia that they wouldn't have won otherwise? He hasn't made much if any difference in the W-L record

Nick Richards, and it's not even close

I don’t think Anthony Edwards should win. His stats are worse than everyone else’s. I think Mason Jones should win.

Are you also one that complains that the Heisman only goes to the QB/RB on a top 5 team?

Nah, give it to Reggie.

I can't name 3 sec players without looking them up

Think I read where Jones is only the 3rd player in SEC history with 4 player of the week awards in a season.
Our record probably isn't good enough for him to win though.

True.
Schedule matters.
Consistency over the course of the schedule regardless of opponent matters.
The player's "clutch factor" matters. Is he the guy you trust the ball with in the closing seconds? Does he show up in big games?
Roster matters. Is it a one man show that simply affords him more touches and looks by default? Or, is he shining among other higher end talent? In either case, how does the team respond to his play?
Level of douchiness should also be a voting factor. How well does he represent himself and the team?
Lots of other factors for sure as well.
