I'm sure we will be fine. As long as our defense is better than last year, we will have success. Statistically impossible to regress from last year on D.

Then what happened after that?
The much more poignant question that seems to be purposely evading the bayou bunch is what has happened the last 2 out of 3 years and how do you get that train stopped? TAMU is not doing this stuff in college football's toughest division with smoke and mirrors. Reality can sux, but self-denial is a poor defense.

Strife with the boosters. No support for facilities, and basically no support to continue moving upward. FSU thought they could get by on their name and a championship
But he was still bringing in top 5 classes and you claim he's one of the best coaches in the country.
So they had coaching and players, what happened?

Interesting deflection from the question. You tried though

It's called living in the here and now. You should try it?

Why are you so against discussing Jimbo's last coaching job and subsequent departure to College Station?

True. Last season we rarely had Ricks and Stingley on the field at the same time, Stevens outgrew his safety spot and our scheme was horrible.
The entire DL returns with the Rivals #1 overall player Maason Smith added to the DL. With Sage Ryan the #1 safety, #1 JUCO LB Strong and top cover LB transfer Jones from Clemson it should translate into a substantially better D.

Technically he gave a thoughtful response, it's been well documented what happened at FSU so I don't think that has to be rehashed. Obviously either you're stupid or simply in denial that Texas A&M is a threat LSU and likewise Alabama.
It's different circumstances with Texas A&M vs Jimbo situation at FSU.

Just lacked a qb. Finally got a good one and we beat the shite out of you.
That same QB was part of one of those shutouts I mentioned.
And a 5 point win is "beating the shite" out of somebody? What is 29-0 or 55-17, then? Would love to know.

aTm has a 2 point win in 7 OTs, at home. A 13 point win over LSU’s worst team in 2 decades, at home. A 43 point loss, on the road.
Let’s just go ahead and stop acting like they’ve blown past LSU.

Yeah just like Blake Barnett was.

Sure, they have better facilities.
That didn't really hurt Jimbo's recruiting anyway though.

As a husband and father, his personal life had a downturn at FSU that clearly was effecting him. Not saying Jimbo is a world beater but it's foolish to over look Texas A&M at this stage.

We both know that game wasn’t as close as 5 points
Tell yourself it was though.

Because #1 ALABAMA opened against that #3 FSU team in Atlanta in 2017. Get that? 2017. The highest ranked teams playing each other in the history of opening college football games. And they were all we could handle. The talent on both sides of that team was real. What the rest of the world saw after multiple key injuries to an outstanding QB and others made that team a completely different animal.
By the way, that is also the last season Jimbo coached FSU and left for College Station. One bad season with crazy injuries didn't destroy FSU anymore than LSU's one-year dumpster fire proves that Orgeron has destroyed your football program. A lousy one-year sample size breaks no elite football program.
The nest 2 HC hires at FSU has been the reason for the season. A legitimate dumpster fire.

Yeah an inexperienced qb that most people on this very board can't even name will be better than a 4 year starter.

I'm not overlooking them, just don't see them being a consistent #2 in the conference as OP stated.
Chief among the reasons why is that Jimbo didn't ride the offensive wave of the past few years and his teams have struggled as a result of that.
Its one thing to ask if Kirby will have a better offense, thats simply a matter of hiring the right coordinator and letting them handle it, however, its doubtful that Jimbo will ever let anyone else run his offense and he has yet to have a dynamic offense since the Jameis Winston years.

Please LSU ... continue to discount us. Nothing to worry about at all. Orgeron has fixed everything by overhauling the entire coaching staff.
I cannot wait for next year

Bryce Young looked like shite in what I saw.
completion pct 2020
Bryce Young 59.1
Max Johnson 58.7
TJ Finley 57.1
Myles Brennan 60.3
Prudent to note that Young played more often with the 2nd team than Brennan did.
