If you look at Mond as a freshmen vs Mond as a senior the improvement is drastic. So yes, that would be good coaching

No True Star RB

Alabama has multiple 5 star RB's, so I'm not sure where this could be true. It's probably the most stacked position at Alabama right now.

I agree, he did get better as he gained experience, as most do.

My question, however, is more about Fisher's decision to start Mond for three seasons when it was clear and obvious to everyone that Mond had obvious shortcomings.

Mond was a good option because he didn't stress the defense by turning over the ball a lot. While A&M still has some holes, the talent level is increasing via recruiting and it isn't as much of a concern. We will still continue to try and enforce our will on the opponent with a superior running game, but I would expect some wrinkles with the new QB

If signing the #3 class is imploding, I’ll take it.

A better quarterback could've scored more and also not turned the ball over.

It isn't an either/or situation.

This sounds like justification for Jimbo's bad decision.

Superior?

I guess you'd consider 2020 Texas to have a superior running game as well

Jesus. Mond was the starter for years, improved, and finished his senior season on a high note. In the past few years we have greatly improved our talent at QB, and will be better in some ways, worse in others

We will score more, stretch the field more, and probably turn over the ball more. A&M will be successful no matter who the QB is though because Fisher has focused on improving trench recruiting. Our OL isn't trash tier as is some of the teams you seem to think have a "good" offense

We will have way better OL and DL in the next few years because most of the talent is young. We have both recruiting and coaching, which is something a team like LSU doesn't really understand. LSU isn't going away, but they aren't much a threat because their coaching is highly suspect. Maybe they will surprise, but usually replacing the ENTIRE support staff for a coach doesn't turn out all that well

It doesn’t matter what you sign. Just went 5-5 with a team slap full of top recruits

Coaching is dog shite. LSU has the worst staff from top to bottom in the NCAA

The SEC is going to be a Jimbo/Saban race for the foreseeable future.

You can’t compare us to Auburn we’re a year removed from a nc and just signed a top 3 recruiting class

Btw auburn. Y’all told me you’d still sign a top 15 class this year. What happened?

No it won't. It will be the same three teams it's always been.

Have you fools not learned anything? This is the type of year Auburn goes on a run through the SEC for a championship. We've got you right where we want you!!

He didn’t just win five games after that. Sound familiar?

Dylan Moses had around the same amount of tackles.

Moses had 68 tackles. 36 solo and 32 assisted.
Jones had 25 total tackles. 12 solo 13 assisted.

That's quite a bit of difference.
