Are you referring to Miami? FSU has pretty decent attendance

No thanks. Wouldn't mind seeing them play some SEC teams in nonconference games more often but definitely do not want them in the conference.

Honestly we should drop aTm and Missouri to get back to 12. There would be far less schedule threads

No both fan bases are as fair weathered as it gets.

FSU averages above 90% attendance on the season and is the top 20 in total, Miami averages just above 50%. I think you might be mistaken

FSU tried to join the SEC for years. Nice try, though.

F$U is an irrelevant school & football program. Why would anyone want them in the greatest conference?

Would love to play them instead of AU or aTm

I love traveling to Florida for football

Auburn reminds me of my grandmother and College Station reminds me of gay people

Alabama
Tennessee
LSU
Georgia
Auburn

Those are the only SEC schools that you can't argue Florida State has a better history than them.

Ok

I don't really have an issue with them joining, however, at this point I like seeing them suffer with the knowledge that they turned down the opportunity to be a part of the best conference in football. I don't want to see them share in this conference's success.

Because they will be 8-4 every year at best. I am not a fan of them being ranked in the top 10 every pre season due to their schedule and occasionally waltzing into a BCS bowl, like in 2012.

The only reason to keep them out is money and they steal what they need to keep going from the state anyway. Bring them in.

@Ocean, you guys were invited into the conference and Bowden wanted none of it. He tried to negotiate never playing Bama and Auburn in the same year and the SEC gave him no guaranteees so you guys chickened out. Know your shite.

Florida states " history" is only about 20-25 years. Don't really have much prior.

Were already offered in the 90's. Bowden was too chicken shite. Why would FSU want to give up being premiere team in their league to get bitch-slapped by half the SEC every year?

Florida State tried for about two decades and UF blocked them. SEC finally offered, FSU said no, ship has sailed.

Speaking of Miami, they are about to be on the upswing big time. I am a bit worried AU will lose its south florida pipeline soon. The worry of NCAA sanctions is about gone and Al Golden is doing serious work in the south florida high schools. He is seriously working to build a fence around Dade and the HS coaches here LOVE him. Get ready for it, because Miami is going to be back to a regular in the top 10 in about 2 years.

I was never impressed by Shannon. I am by Golden and it just seems different with Golden. It seems his praises are being sung a lot louder and he is now selling a couple of strong pitches.

1. Miami is a great place to live and play at a small school and live in a pretty exclusive desirable area (the Gables) along with bringing Miami back.

2. The NCAA sanctions are done (pretty much are).

3. Stability. He stuck with Miami and is committed even though he could have jumped ship to greener pastures when the NCAA bomb hit, which was no fault of his own.

I am getting the impression his message is resonating down here. We will see, but I am expecting Miami's recruiting to pick up a LOT, especially in Dade and Broward which is pretty much the King of high school football in the country.
