Fisher spent his last 11 seasons since then establishing himself as one of the top offensive minds in the sport. That got him a national title, the title of “winningest coach in ACC history” (based on win percentage) and a new $75 million contract.

LINK

A couple days ago, we established that Jimbo has the best record in college football against SEC competition. At 11-2 all time against SEC teams, his winning percentage is a little higher than Coach Saba's win percentage against SEC teams.

Now, according to this article, we learn that Jimbo is also the winningest coach in the history of the ACC. Wow! Congrats, Coach Fisher!

Why do you think LSU wanted him so bad?

Too bad he can't bring that Florida talent and yearly game against an average Florida team to make his numbers so great. He will learn just like Bret being in the sec and playing an occasional good team from it is a big difference.

Exactly, sucks that he has to deal with that weak Texas talent now...

Bowden was 105-27 versus the ACC at Florida State. That’s a 79.55% winning percentage.

Fisher was 48-16 versus the ACC at Florida State. That’s a 75.00% winning percentage.

Great information, but it doesn't dispute anything in the original post.

Edit for all those who don't talk english good: The article I linked claims that Coach Fisher is the "winningest coach in ACC history, by win percentage." In other words, you looks at the percentage of total games that he was the head coach at FSU in which FSU won, and that number is higher than the same number for any other coach in ACC history. The post in question says that Bowden has a higher win percentage against ACC teams. In other words, of games Bowden coach against ACC teams while Bowden was the head coach at FSU, he won a higher percentage than Coach Fisher. Clearly, both of those facts can be true. His post did not contradict the claim from the article.

Insecure thread. Don't worry, you only owe a depressed half arse coach $75 million.

Meh. We've only had 1 team finish in the top 10 since Tebow graduated and Jeff fricking Driskel whooped that arse in Tally.

Riding Bowden's success is a sad way to measure that.

Dude, please. Bowden was 38-27 in the five years before Fisher was named head coach of FSU.

He was 74-42 in his last nine years. Fisher was 83-23.
