My guess is Bama will miss it just a little, Ole Miss Ark and A&M will delight in our suffering. Florida will love it, I wonder about Auburn though. They could go either way. State will be very polite about it because they're good people.

You were good for like three years, out of your whole history.

I think it will be hard for people to say. Except for young people, y'all really weren't good enough for long enough for people to get used to it, so y'all sucking will still feel pretty natural.

This year, no. We'll have a blast with it but long term, absolutely. Those games have been absolute wars.

As times before, times now, and times to come, we will always enjoy it.

I'm sure it will be a mixed bag.

As a longtime LSU fan, I held a grudge against Nebraska for the Orange and Sugar Bowl loses of the 80's. When we rose to Top 5 level (early Miles era), I kept wanting an LSU-Nebraska matchup, so we could roll the Cornhuskers. But they had dropped off considerably, and had we finally played, kicking them when they were down wouldn't have been satisfying.

To that point, I suspect A&M will beat us soon enough, but after the initial gloating, they'll realize that they just beat a 4-8 team, not the 10+ win program they had been chasing.

Count me among the unsympathetic.

If I looked at it right, we're 5-5 against y'all the last 10 games so we never viewed you as powerful as you all did yourselves. That said, it's unfortunate that we suck as well.

Very true. The initial satisfaction will be sweet. But it won't last.

But it's reality.

You should have been in Tiger Stadium Saturday. Maybe 20K left for the 4th quarter comeback attempt against Troy. But still had the corporate ads flashing and piped in music blaring. Death Valley was like a ghost of its former self that hadn't realized it was dead yet. It was truly a depressing experience.

That's rich, coming from a Georgia fan. Your program is the gold standard for a team who is always good, but never great, save a couple years with Herschel Walker. LSU has more NC's than Georgia and close to the same if not more SEC titles and all time wins. So STFU....

To the OP....yes I'm sad about the current state of affairs in Baton Rouge. It was the game we Bama fans circled each year. It was big boy football at its finest. I will miss LSU being the ying to Bama's yang. I won't however, miss that small contingent of their fans who are insufferable pricks.

Honestly yes, and no.

It's fun to watch the Tigers completely derail after all the insults last year.

However; the Florida/LSU game was the one I always marked on the calendar and made sure I had a party for during away games, and got to the game for home games.

It's sad this rivalry is dying out from both programs falling some. Still...it is kind of fun to watch.

LSU being bad is bad for the SEC. Plus, Mizzoi is bad, so it's really no benefit to us with LSU being down/

Only been in the league 6 years so haven't really seen it. LSU has won something like 3 more games than we have and you are 5-0 against us.

Some of the old timers around here say there were a couple of really good years. One of them had to do with a rematch of some kind.

So... not really.. to answer your question.

There will not be the usual satisfaction that came with beating a Miles led team. I will say that when Saban leaves if we hire a dud and dive off into a sea of mediocrity you and most every other team will gloat and give us mortal hell. I sincerely hope you guys suck it up and fire the man before it gets worse. It can get worse.
