He should absolutely sit out the next 2. Bama should win easily without him and he'll need to be mobile against Aubie's front.

No. Just no. You don’t get it. The “tight rope” surgery almost eliminates the chance of the same injury happening again. Even if there was still pain present, the chance of furthering the injury is negligible. So, if Tua felt like he could play through the pain, which apparently is what he did if we are taking Tua at his word, then there was no reason not to play him.
I understand, but you’re missing the point. If Tua was good to go, then Bama straight up got beat. If he wasn’t good to go, Saban shouldn’t/wouldn’t have let him play. You can’t have it both ways and say he played but was only playing at 5-10%, which I’m sure will be the new Bama narrative.

I don’t think you understand the medical procedure that Tua had.

I fully understand it and it was risky playing him at all. I get the magnitude of the game but it was still risky. One wrong hit and the kid is not ready for the combine.

Sorry doc.. Anytime you drill 2 holes through your lower leg through the bone then put a plate with screws into the bone to hold it together it should take a while to heal.

Even during the broadcast they said they were amazed how quick he healed because it's normally a 3-4 months to recover.

So yes if I had an opinion in the matter I would sit him. If I were in his shoes I would hang it up and heal up for the combine.

This happened regardless of Tua’s status...

Tua was cleared to practice by a Dr and was 90% or better...

He wasn’t saying Tua was playing at 5-10%

Enlighten us, what did he mean when he said "get from 5-10% back to healthy"?

I'll wait.

I'll tell you this, Venables has shown that the way to defend the RPO/spread attack is to pressure the QB rushing 4. Auburn has the horses to do just that. I'm not sure putting a gimpy Tua back there would be a good idea. Bama would be better of starting Hurts for that game.

...oh, wait.

Remember that time you said LSU had a talent disadvantage at almost every position and that There is not a good case to be made that LSU wins?

LSU had the lead for the ENTIRE GAME! Chase destroyed Diggs and Diggs had to cheat to hold him at the yardage and TDs he was held to.

LSU outplayed Bama in almost every aspect of the game. Not bad for just bravado.
