I am already more interested in this year because we already know what would have happened if UGA has gotten on there. Choke choke!

52-7. GT didn't choke. You did what everybody expected. You rolled over and played dead.

No. Clemson vs OSU is one of the most anticipated matchups of the year and the NCG (assuming LSU wins) would be highly watched no matter who wins the OSU Clemson game

I agree. Looks like great matchups.

Being as unbiased as I can but ...

Ohio State is always a big draw.

People in the middle states are DEFINITELY interested in seeing Oklahoma. Not only do Southerners turn out for the Sooners but there will be a lot more wanting to see LSU play.

Of course the southern east coast will be interested in Clemson. The northeast never turns out for college football unless Notre Dame is involved and that's a rare thing really.

And don't underestimate the college football fans who will be interested simply because Bama or Georgia is not in it.

I agree. As a Bama fan I am as excited for these playoffs as any of the ones my team participated in.

As an Auburn fan it’s hard for me to think of a better playoff to hold my attention that doesn’t have Auburn in it.

There is a team I’ll at least mildly pull for (LSU) and a team I dislike (OSU, or really the B10 generally)

No. Just because your team is irrelevant trash doesn't mean the rest of the country isn't still watching.

Not even close. A LSU-Clemson final would have epic ratings

Ohio State are the Dallas Cowboys of college football. No college football program is a bigger ratings magnet than them so I doubt the CFB Playoff will have record low ratings. Now if Ohio State ends up losing to Clemson, ratings will likely tank because nobody wants to watch Clemson play in the National Championship Game again.

no

You have 1 Gigantic country wide fanbase. (maybe biggest in the country)

3 Undefeated teams

A historically very good team.

Won't be a rematch

The national title game will have higher ratings than last years game.

An LSU-Ohio State game would have even more Epic ratings.

The highest watched CFP national title game was Ohio State-Oregon with around 35M viewers.

The Alabama-Clemson(s) and Alabama-Georgia got around 25-26m.

Ohio State in the title game against LSU would probably push the 35m viewers.

LSU-Clemson would probably be in the 25-26 range.

I think Saban and Bama being out of it is going to hurt a little bit. They are like the Yankees, everyone wants to watch them just to possibly see them lose. They are the representation of the SEC, it's weird not seeing them

This is false.
There are a lot of Ohio State fans in the North East.
Ohio State is a massive school with a very good reputation.
There are a ton of alum in NYC

Michigan, Wisconsin, Penn State, OSU and Indiana are all very represented here in the Northeast.

Also ND has played for a national title twice since 2012. So it's not really a "rare thing"
