I know it’s not looking good and if I had to ponder a guess I would say 70% chance it’s not happening but for those of you who still think it may happen what are your reasons?

Obviously athletic department budgets (I’m actually getting tested right now for coronavirus) Roommate has had it for two weeks now but no real symptoms will be interesting to see what my results are I may get them as I type this.roommate has had it for two weeks now but no real symptoms will be interesting to see what my results are I may get them as I type this

Anyway I’m really really really hoping that there’s going to be a season even with no fans I mean what do you guys think I don’t think a lot of these kids are gonna die or even any of them unless they have major health issues already.

But I can understand it if they get away with it completely.

Wow Craig you haven’t even begun the anger phase yet. Where have you been buddy? You must have a life outside of ncaa football I’m not judging you nor being sarcastic I actually envy you. Most of us without lives outside of ncaa football are either in bargaining phase or acceptance phase. It ain’t happening Craiger.

There's not rational reason why the football season should not go forward but fear mongers and SJW have already ruined it so I really don't give a damn. I have plenty of other things I can do with my time.

I doubt there will be football because of reason outside of a virus but to put into perspective 188 people in the US ages 0-24 have died from cv-19. Since 5/23 of this year the mortality rate across all age groups are lower then a normal years mortality rate. Since July the rate is multiple times lower then a normal year.

Probably not.

However, the one thing that could save college football this season financially is an expanded (8-team) playoff. Everyone is going to lose money on the regular season. An expanded playoff makes this season worthwhile.

Take it for what it’s worth but I played golf with a guy who works for the NCAA yesterday and he said it looks doubtful. Depends on what the politicians do the next 2 weeks.

If they try to play the season will be disrupted and many/most games canceled when players become infected with CV. It will be a disaster with inequitable results that leave everyone but the underdog dissatisfied with the result. Think Alabama or any other bigtime program playing with half-or-less of the roster quarantined and ineligible because a few players on either team test positive for CV.

Teams will have to disqualify all players infected or exposed and play shorthanded or cancel the game altogether - and this shite will happen every week changing the schedule and rosters of every team. It will be a complete shite-show. I hope they call the season off completely and come back strong in 2021 after a vaccine is found and administered.
