Is the answer to this question ever "no"?

Any fanbase would when they were told their head coach is the closest thing to Saban out there.
Clemson is a must win for BK. You aren’t getting through the SEC unscathed and knowing him, they’ll lose one they shouldn’t anyways.
Missing the playoffs is a fireable offense for him imo.

I don't know about literal crying, but we're not going to be happy about it one bit. A loss the first week takes the whole season and flips it on its head. Changes the whole trajectory. Just to let you know though, I think most LSU fans expect a loss, whether they actually expect it, or they just won't let themselves grt comfortable until they win.

The loser of that game may get the pleasure of finding out at the end of the season whether or not the committee is going to take a different approach regarding weighing in strength of schedule, by far its greatest criticism .

Les Miles never lost any OOC regular-season game in 12 years. How the mighty have fallen.

LSU cries all of the time. They’re little bitches. They will lose against Clemson, the team with the real Death Valley

You wake up at 5am thinking about Daddy LSU?
Did you have nightmare about these #s?
National championship
LSU - 53
Bama - 28

LSU could easily lose that game and another but get to Atlanta for the SEC championship win the SEC make the playoffs and win the national championship period as big as that game might be because it’s two top five-10 teams. It has a little value on the rest of the season.

I’d much rather lose to a highly ranked Clemson, who will win the ACC and make the playoffs…in the first game of the season versus losing to Vandy and OU later.

Would you, really? Dude, the golden era of LSU football is so long gone that the stupid rhetoric coming from the fan base seems to thrive on the average and mundane expectations of the masses.
For a moment, think about the LSU fan base's frame of mind when Chip Kelly and Oregon and Les Miles's LSU were opening the season in a huge extravaganza. You people thought you were bulletproof with all the winning. And you pretty much were.
Brian Kelly has made you and your expectations as soft as Charmin.

I am sure there will be some LSU fans crying if the Tigers lose against Clemson but I won't be one of them. Why cry over losing a football game?

At #5 Clemson in week 1?
How is that a must win?
We could lose to Clemson then run through the SEC.

Speaking of "running through," how's that defense doing these days?

It’s the same script every year for the past 5.
- Lose the opener - fans have a cataclysmic meltdown, demand he be fired. Start a bunch of “who should we hire if…” threads.
- Pick up some momentum by beating a school for the deaf and blind by 90 at home
- Squeak by a decent team, but look pretty good on offense
- Beat up on another directional school
By Weeks 5-6 all of their confidence will have returned, and they’ll be back here to talk more shite. Right before they get beat by their next SEC opponent.

Name one fan base that will be happy if they lose their first game.

It isn't easy to lose 3 openers in a row and losing 4 is unheard of.
