Will there be a rival fan at your Thanksgiving meal?
My entire family are Bama fans my cousin, aunts, uncles, etc. My cousin was a cheerleader at UA,my wife had a cheerleading scholly at UA,most all of my family have graduated or attend UA.
So don't show up with no fighting colors on.

Lucky! Just with cousins my family has 2 Alabama grads, 2 Auburn and 1 UGA oddball. It was a lot quieter around the T'giving table today than 2010 you might say.

My rival is the meal today. A tastey 71 lb razorback was what's for dinner.
If my Tigers destroy the Razorbacks tomorrow as we carved and consumed the roasted pig, then the weekend will be perfect.

Despite half my family being Bama fans, I wouldn't really classify it as a rivalry.

7 of the 12 men at our get together are grinders.

Would'nt that be your brother? Nevermind, that would be your wife's sister.

Had a great family gathering on the lake today. A good mix of MSU, Ole miss and Bama folk.

growing up, we had a pretty even split of alabama & auburn grads at thanksgiving, with a few random vanderbilt, georgia tech, harvard, boston college, etc graduates sprinkled in. always very intersting.
this year, it's just my little fam here in the midwest. but, two of my friends are flying up tomorrow...one an alabama graduate, the other an auburn grad. we will watch the game together. i'm planning for my auburn friend to have a large & full cooler to herself.

My family's been associated with The University for a really long time. We have lots of undergrads from private schools and out of state schools but they still stay involved with Alabama, either through grad school, teaching, or some other developmental capacity.
Of my two best friends, one is an Auburn fan and one is an LSU fan. My Aubie friend married an Alabama grad who lettered in a sport. I think their first year of marriage has been pretty rocky.

We ate with some friends that are Aggies. They are good folks but I heard "Johnny Football" more times than I cared to remember.

How about you?
I kept my carving knife close as well. There was an incident. He was delicious.

right there with you. the funny thing is that even the family members who went to emory and vandy, b.c and harvard, etc. still had a built in allegiance to either alabama or auburn when it came to football

I had an old boyfriend who went to Duke and he became an Alabama fan before he met me because some of the guys in his fraternity were from Alabama and such huge fans, which made everyone catch the bug. Everyone got together and went to the Alabama-Duke game a few years ago and they all still pulled for Alabama. He wouldn't put anything orange and blue next to each other in his closet.
