Will the SECN have an app for mobile devices?

I assume they will but was not sure.
I have Uverse so I will be watching on tv but want to be able to stream as well.

Yes. You choose your provider, similar to WatchESPN

B1G and Pac 10 both have them. Same as WatchESPN in that you login through your provider.

DISH already has an app and began catering to SEC-N fans during baseball season.

The SEC Network FAQ now states that viewers using an approved provider will be able to access network via the WatchEspn app. They had originally said it would be available for streaming using an app, "similar" to WatchEspn. Seems they've decided to simply add a channel to the existing & proven reliable product. Dish customers will have the additional option to use either WatchEspn or the DishAnywhere app.
