How in the hell did they finish at #13 with 4 losses?
They were #13 in the AP, #16 in the coaches. They were ranked in the top 5 in late-October/early-November I think, so they werent gonna fall that far. Their last loss wasnt until the bowl.

Tim had a headstart on the hype machine because he played on a national championship team his freshman year. Johnny is gonna have to win it all next year or he won't have enough eligabiliy left to catch up to the level the tebow hype train reached.
Plus the fact that Tebow just wouldn't shut up about God kept him in the spotlight way more than any normal football player would have been.

Tebow had the size, personality, looks. was tough as nails, won games, and stood up for his Lord and Saviour.Johnny Football looks like he should be working in a pizza parlor. But we will see I guess.

Tebow is the most popular college football I have ever seen and I remember college football quite well from 1962 onward. There is nothing that matches the media attention that Tebow received.
I am not saying best player...I said "popular" and he was like a rock star in Gainesville. Nothing or no one comes close...yet.
Tebow had the determination, he had the born in Phillipines, evangelistic missions, prisons, you name it...it was year round 24/7/365. He had the broken leg in high school and yet played, he had the will and the charisma to make others want to run through brickwalls with him. Johnny doesnt have anything quite like this yet and I like Johnny...he is the best player in college right now.

4 losses?
losses to 2 top 5 teams against LSU and UGA. Loss to ranked Michigan team in Bowl game.
The only inexplicable loss that season was to Auburn at home, which still baffles me to this day.

Not in the same manner I don't believe. Johnny Football will bed the women.

Muschamp was Auburn's DC in 06 and 07. He had Mullens and Meyers #. Him and fricking Wes Bryum.

Here's a thought .... Johnny gets AS MUCH/MORE hype than Tebow
No he doesn't. There's a reason it was called Tebowmania. He was a household name, everyone knew his name. I guarantee I could walk out onto the street right now and ask 10 people who Tebow is and they'd all know.
Do the same thing for Johnny Football and it'll be more like half. Heck my buddy that's a Washington fan didn't realize who I was talking about until I mentioned he played for Texas A&M and even then he was like "Oh that freshmen for A&M?" And that's a guy that follows football pretty closely.

He's probably the most well known player in all of college football at the moment. His trademark thing made CNN. He doesn't follow college football if he hasn't heard of Johnny Football.

Well with him being on the front page of cnn.com all day I bet a lot more people know who he is now.
