Will Texas get to light the tower in all orange on Friday?

The only non-championship sports victory that calls for lighting the tower in all orange is a win in football against Texas A&M.

I thinks it’s very regional. For East Texas Horns like myself, A&M was the primary rival growing up. When I moved away to Dallas, I kind of stopped viewing the Ags in that way. The Red River feels more like an organic rivalry. The A&M game feels more like a Texas Showcase. Almost like an exhibition for the CFB World. Though even that is fading because our rosters aren’t so Texan anymore.

I grew up thinking the Sooners were our rivals and the game against the Aggies was just an every Thanksgiving game.

I can DFW types being more like that. Sort of the way Houston Ags will put more emphasis on LSU than DFW Ags would.
