Will Saban become the first $10M CFB coach?

Let's assume Saban wins out goes 15-0 and gets his 5th National title at Alabama. Is $10M a year realistic for a raise?
He was making $5M then got bumped to $7M where he's at now. But Harbaugh is now making $9M and hasn't won anything and won't even be in the playoffs this year. Saban should make more than him but is there any leverage to get a raise or does UA just pony up and pay him more.

However much he gets paid he deserves it and much more

No need to. No school is going to throw more than that at this point

He deserves it. It's also mind boggling that Kevin Sumlin makes 5 million

Harbaugh isn't really making $9 million in salary I think. Isn't it like an insurance policy or something?

I don't think you do it unless he asks for it.
I like to believe he understands the benefit of having that money to spend elsewhere than constantly getting it bumped up.
He's worth it, but salary doesn't dictate best. I think everyone is well aware who runs CFB...

Don't know what Alabama wants to pay him, but he is the best in the business and it's not even close.

$9M is going to his bank account a year however you decide to look at it.
$5M base and two $2M insurance premiums or something.

I belive he has an escalation clause....they average the top three salaries and if he needs to be adjusted upward then they do so...... in case someone like a Harbaugh comes in at a ridiculous level and resets the basis.

Pay the man. Been worth every penny.

If saban wins out like I think he will and doesn't get 10m or more then I'd be surprised.

no coach is making $10MM.....not in even in the NFL

He's worth it. The ROI for the football program and the school overall have been astounding. Remember when everyone thought we were nuts for paying him $4M a year in 2007?

No coach is putting down championship seasons like saban... not even in the NFL

Texas would pay Saban 10 million a year, if Herman goes sub 50% 2-3 years; they will show for Saban again.

If I was the AD I would call him into the office, pass him a piece of paper and a pen and tell him to write a number on it.

I don't think he is working for the money at this point.
I don't think he will demand anything.
He has a death star. What else does he need?

He is not going to get 10 million a year with out talking about leaving for another job. If he wanted more money he would have likely put his name out there for the Texas job.
