Why aren't you believing that is a possibility? Do you realize LSU will do anything to get an edge?
LSU tried to get Nick Saban before settling for Lame Kiffin.

I think SMU has access to a lot of money don’t they? Doubtful if that’s the case.

And OU will be still be watching their dicks get knocked in the dirt wondering why they haven’t won shite since forever. Go back to the big 12 already with Texas. Neither of you are ready for this league

Maybe he was the missing link that Malzahn lost him when he left him for another OC JOB.

Na. Malzahn lost his mojo November 8th 2014 vs Texas A&M. He was never the same after that.

There was really a few different things that did Gus in…

The rule changes

He absolutely refused to throw intermediate passes, or to the middle of the field.

After a 1st his team always rushed to the line, did a quick snap, and ran up the middle after every single 1st down.

He changed the type of QB he recruited. He went from true DTQBs that was basically an extra RB to… QBs that were better at passing than running. Nick Marshall was a RB playing QB and we were near unstoppable in 2013 and 2014 until A&M… so he recruited passing DTQB Tyler Queen over a true DTQB who WANTED to come play in the Cam Newton offense… you may have heard of him… his name is Lamar Jackson.

He dismissed a REAL OL coach when he was hired (Jeff Grimes) and hired one who had no interest whatsoever in recruiting, JB Grimes… then forced out JB when the fans started noticing he couldn’t recruit an OL for his buddy Herb Hand who recruited a few highly rated OL who were all busts) then forced Hand out to rehire JB. Old man JB was rehired. I think this was his ultimate undoing. The last 4 LTs who played under Malzahn were a converted DE who was a literal African Prince who had never played American football, a transfer from mighty UMASS, a kid from Europe who had never taken a snap of American football prior to coming to Auburn, and a literal guard.

Lashlee seemed to just held a clipboard for Gus.

Gus’s missing link was an OL and a true DTQB.
