Auburn has a long history of chop blocks and taking out knees on purpose.

Mullins is as classless as Urban Meyer. No wonder Florida fans love em

Two of the fumbles were the results of missed Targeting calls. So I would call that dirty. It's on the refs to punish the team though, so Auburn just kept doing it and never got called for a late hit or targeting, and we nearly lost Trask entirely because of it too.

frick the SEC refs.

Actually, the refs should have called holding on y'alls' boy on that play. He grabbed the Auburn player down by his jersey collar as he was going in for the tackle/sack thus causing the AU player to hit Trask low.

I do hope, however, that Trask isn't really injured from that hit. It's possible to play the remainder of a game on adrenaline and not really feel the pain of an injury until the next day. Trask is a pretty damned good QB. I'd hate to see y'all lose two QBs in the same season.

Good luck for the rest of the season (with the exception of this coming Saturday night in Death Valley.)

edit: I think most of us agree with your sentiment regarding SEC refs.

Your OL was dirty holding and tackling our DL all game, and rarely got called, and so continued doing it. One of those dirty OL almost cost you Trask for the season.

Here is what the "dirty" player had to say.

quote:

“When I’m out there to play, I always play between the rules," Davidson said. "I’m always out there trying to take care of each other, and they should take care of me, too. But I was devastated after that. I went to the sideline and my coach had to pull me to the side and say, ‘Man, you just got to continue to play football,’ because my mind was all on him. Like, I hope he gets up, I hope he feels better, I hope it’s nothing serious. Because, at the end of the day, man, it’s football. You want to see everybody be great.”

quote:

“I was just trying to make a play, to be honest,” Davidson said. “The tackle, he was pushing me down, but at the end of the day man, I felt really bad for Trask, man. I really did. It hurt. It really did. I was out of it for a moment, because you don’t ever want to see that happen to player. You know what I mean? After the game, I went up and apologized to him. At the end of the day, it’s football, but you never wish nothing bad on nobody.”

He didn't have to apologize, the UF Tackle does though.

I remember when Mullen hardcore defended his dirty player Dillon Day when he jumped and stomped with both feet on the stomach of Davon Godchaux.

Mullen is one of the douchiest coaches in football.

We've been commenting on everything. This thread, not made by an Auburn fan, happens to be one of them we will comment in.

I thought it might have been dirty when I first saw it but after the replay and seeing him go up to Trask after the game changed my mind.

It's football. Guys are going FAST. You don't have time to think if you are going too high or low. It was a bang, bang play and not dirty. Mullen should apologize but I doubt he will in public. Most coaches have too big egos to do that.

Mullen is a great coach but he is a bit of a bitch about things like that. That said, he outcoached us yesterday.

They beat Auburn last night. They think they are headed to Atlanta.

From what I saw it was purely accidental and just a football play. He did not intentionally target the kid’s knee. Hell, our own guy stepped on Tua’s ankle last year. Shite happens in a pocket mosh pit.

Never mind all the “missed” holding that was going on by UFux. Almost every time Trask dropped back to pass, I’d see the gators o-linemen get an arm bar around the Tigers’ pass rush. It was rather blatant
