This is how it works, you fleece the schools that are desperate to return to the big time - like Miss St and Texas A&M not that Miss St was ever there.
You play the game and try and get money from those guys knowing you have fall back options that are better like LSU, Auburn, Fla, Bama, etc.
A&M or Miss St do not bite so I struck out, now I go to where the grass is greener and play on a better team that can showcase me better to get to the NFL. That's what appears is going on right now. The only way I'm not going to LSU or Auburn where I have a better chance of winning more is to extort money from a school trying to get to that echelon to see if they bite - MSU and A&M didn't.

I wonder how many violations AU has committed but we will never know because your compliance office is run by more cheaters that are "All In." I guess it is hard for cheaters to police cheaters. AU can't count on the BOT to put a stop to it. So who do you think is cheating more than AU and how do you do the accounting? Do you agree that different compliance offices have different degrees of blindness. So while you are on your way to rob a bank you call the cops on your neighbor for selling lemonade without a permit. Now that is the worst kind of hypocrisy.
Your post is spot on.
Only in Lee County can the most influential man on campus be indicted for a host of illegal activities and the entire fanbase can't see that fact as indicative of the program he runs (AU athletics). How do they define executive leadership over there?
Auburn University has allowed their school to be controlled and administered by the most crooked men in the state - all because those men have donated millions to AU.
How could they know who to trust when everyone in power over there is a crook?
Just think about this -
- P4P was acknowledged by a former coach (Bowden)
- P4P solicitation was admitted by Cecil Newton
- P4P was admitted by 4 FOUR former players
- A former HC that put AU on probation for P4P is back on campus
- Lowder is still at AU- under federal investigation
- A huge booster/financer McGregor is under indictment by the Fed's
The list could go on and on - but you get the picture of the landscape on the Plains.

Your right auburntiger77, we will gladly admit an anonymous person gave a player at one of our camps who never played a down at LSU $500 bucks if you will admit that it's also true 4 of your players were getting paid, one directly from a coach. Sounds about right to me. I can live with that.

As an Auburn fan, I agree with you... LSU fans did not think that when it was CAM, but now many have seen the light... BAMMERS now want BOTH of us on probation... LSU fans need to unite with Auburn against BAMMER... Many LSU fans teamed up with BAMMER, trust me bammers are NOT your friend...
(For the record, LSU is my second favorite team, loving visiting Baton Rouge)

I will go on record (having been a big critic of AU and Cam) in saying that I don't really see any difference in the allegation against PP7 and LSU than the Auburn deal that has been alleged in paying for Cam. If anything, the LSU deal may sound worse.
I will also go on record in saying that I have a bad feeling that LSUs house of cards is about to crumble due to recruiting impropriety. Let's face it, Miles is not that bright and I have always been amazed that he has been able to recruit like he has in view of his communication skills...or lack thereof. With that being said, perhaps he is just good at cheating.
Moreover, if LSU has been paying players, then I hope they get the appropriate punishment. I also hope that all schools involved in these types of schemes get what is coming to them.
I think the next two to three years are going to be landscape altering for college football, especially in the SEC. I would not be surprised at all to see Auburn, LSU, UT and maybe one or two other schools find themselves on major probation...perhaps as bad as USC...maybe worse.
It is what it is and there appears to be a dark cloud on the horizon, whether it is just an optical illusion or a Class 5 Hurricane remains to be seen for several big time schools, including LSU.

i'm not delusional to think these things aren't happening at all universities. However, with that said, if p.p. was paid 80k then the rules at the time are the same rules that applied to the cam situation. therefore, if p.p. says he didn't know. no foul. it's a mute point. time to move on.

Too much money on the table for that to happen.

True - There's way too much money to be made in the SEC for them to alter things too drastically. They'll close up some loopholes to weather the current shite-storm and move on from there, IMO.

Where is Texas A&M's report to the Big 12 or the NCAA?
Texas A&M University and the SID's office have stated in the article they have no knowledge of this, hence no report.
It's one coach that's not even here anymore talking about this.

Good point, even if the whole scenario is totally true, the blueprint has been laid for every player moving forward to always have a perfectly good escape clause "I didn't know", end of story.

Actually, you can never move on... The BAMMERs will not allow it... We still have daily post about CAM... So from now on, it should be CAM and Patrick... Plus the NCAA is still looking into the entire Lyles issue.... So who knows...

I have a really good feeling that PP7 and the 80k are why Corch was yapping about cheating. That and other examples of it.

Good plan. AU fans have been sending LSU fans into flopping fits worthy of a beached fish doing the same thing for the past few months.
