They shouldn't, imo. But I can see voters putting Oregon ahead of them after their stomping of a "Top 25" team and maybe even battling with FSU for 3rd spot after their win over a "Top 10" team.

It should be Bama, Lsu, Oregon, Fsu.. imo.. but I think the SEC bias is going to have folks doing what they can to move some other teams up ahead.

Who cares?

The winner of LSU/Alabama is playing for the national championship again.

i wont be upset if we do drop. I have actually always been in favor of not keeping teams in their spot just because they won. LSU will have its chances to move back up and if we win out we will end up in the nc.

Umm, I would hope so because Oregon looked pretty damn good last night against a decent team. Not to mention FSU also took the punch and then punched back effectively.

Do you honestly believe Oregon could even stay within 20 pts of LSU?

We saw what happened last year with their spread BS.

The only poll that counts isn't out. I don't care where NCAA politics puts us as long as we win. I'm fine with 5th - let them have Bama, Oregon, FSU and UGA ahead of us.

It's all good.

Doesn't bother me as we control our own destiny. It'll come down to the SEC stretch run for LSU & Bama.

Right now the polls are secondary to solving the LT issue. It seems we're scared of playing La'El Collins there for fear we're going to create a 1st Round Pick issue at LT in Fall Camp next year.

Or we're too stubborn to cover the C-Gap on the LT side to chip and/or Double Team the edge. But our LT/Warrior simply can't get it done one-on-one on the edge, and our staff was content to watch him repeatedly fail, giving up pressure, sacks, and causing our offense to turn the ball over.

Either way the polls aren't on my mind this AM.

Though LSU is the 2nd best team in the country, Oregon has looked better up until this point. Oregon deserves to be #2 based on games this season.

Will not matter what LSU is ranked (1-5)... it's all about the Bama/LSU game.

Well, they were within 13 points last year when you had a better team (and their team this year is quite probably better than their team last year), so...yeah, they could "stay within 20 points of LSU." Are you stupid?

Agree, they should not get jumped. A win at Auburn is still tough.

LSU probably looking ahead... to Texas A&M game 3rd week in October.

this is Germans but now we know why Mett did not get named as last years starter and why he was not playing in the NC game..My contention last year if he was so good he would have beat out JJ and company. Good luck the rest of the years.

NOt necessarily "knighting" for them, just saying that even when they weren't playing their best last night, they destroyed a decent team 49-0. Polls would be so much better if the voters were willing to look at them fresh every week. All will work out in the end regardless.
