But I asked you, what makes it better in your opinion?

The very things you have already denied being a factor. Long and rich tradition and national prestige. A fanbase that gives their coaches a celebrity status that is simply not matched anywhere else in the conference. We just have to agree to disagree on this. You have your opinion and me and apparently the vast majority of college football experts disagree with it.

The legends of the Crimson Tide coaching tree could sell this job alone. From the top, Wallace Wade (3 National Championships), Paul “Bear” Bryant (6 National Championships) and Nick Saban (6 National Championships) are all in good company to be in. Add in boosters that are willing to pay off coaches houses and other properties and the hot bed of talent that comes out of the state of Alabama and it’s a no brainer why coaches find Alabama to be the best job in college football. State of the art facilities, football as a religion in the state of Alabama, make the coaching job at Alabama the best coaching job in college football.

This is true of pretty much any "elite" job.

Every coach is a "celebrity" when they're winning.

If Saban dropped 4 games next year, it wouldn't be quite as rosy.

O was a hell of a celebrity in 2019.

I am copying and pasting from websites across the country because I am researching. Over 20 of them back up my arguments. I have found one that agrees with yours so far.

Here is ESPN's top 15.
15. Auburn
14. Texas A&M
13. Oregon
12. Michigan
11. Notre Dame
10. Clemson
9. Georgia
8. Oklahoma
7. LSU
6. Florida
5. Florida State
4. USC
3. Texas
2. Ohio State
1. Alabama

Alabama has no resource that Georgia doesn't in terms of helping Kirby win. It'd be pointless.

You want this to be true so bad. And we just continue kicking your arse year in and year out.

I wonder how many times RichRod slapped Rita’s arse over the not going to Bama? Or did he just dump her!?

NO....HE.....WON'T!!!! Alabama doesn't have enough money (even if they did, he still wouldn't leave UGA for Bama) to lure him away.

UGA & Athens G-A are in his blood and DNA.

The argument you just posted could literally apply to several SEC programs.

The entire point of this discussion was to determine what Alabama actually offers a potential head coaching candidate that no other SEC team does and so far we're coming up with nothing besides tradition.

They like winners at Bama, so probably not the first option.

What if he gets fired? Just like the last HC? If Kirby likes to be second to Alabama and possible be third if Florida and Texas A&M step up.

That sounds good and all but has no effect on wins and losses

But yet you will use the reverse argument regarding UA basketball.

What tangible asset makes Alabama a better job than LSU

They actually make a profit for one.

No I wouldn't.

LSU's football program does too.

In fact, this 247 Sports article from a year ago ranks Alabama and LSU relatively close in terms of revenue generated.

quote:

9. Alabama Crimson Tide ($94.6 million)

quote:

11. LSU ($92.0 million)

For all of the crowing about money that Bammers do, I was surprised to see them barely crack the top 10.
