where do you think Auburn's roster started the season ranked?

Auburn was ranked #18. Just behind Tennessee, and just ahead of Missouri and Ole Miss. Despite having a top twenty roster, Auburn couldn’t even qualify for a bowl game.

I’m sorry, but that doesn’t change the fact that his arse will be hot IF he fails to make the playoffs next season.

I'd be more worried about Big Game Brian entering year 4 with absolutely nothing to show for it if I was you.

But then I'm not an LSU fan.

we’ve established that our shitty HC did a shitty job this year

in fact he lost games to three teams ranked below AU in overall talent (833.61 on the link you provided):

Arky 779.17 (-54.44)
Cal 702.38 (-131.23)
Vandy 695.63 (-137.98)

meanwhile DeBoer also lost to three teams ranked below Bama’s talent level of 1018.28:

OU 906.61 (-111.67)
UTee 858.67 (-159.61)
Vandy 695.63 (-322.65)

but keep telling yourself what a great job he’s doing

Poor Auburn, the actual Harsin did better than the guy they replaced him with

Only Auburn fans can somehow convince themselves that 5-7 is better than 9-3.

Somehow having a shittier record in year two with a better roster signifies progress in barn town.

Don't try to make sense of it.

Any time they hire outside the family and that coach gets to town and finds out how things are done on the farm, they run him out of town with a quickness if he doesn't get on board with the plan.

I can guarantee you one thing.

Alabama can lose 3 games and make it in next year. Book it.

Will Hooker Harsin be fired if he can’t make it to the Birmingham Bowl?

Looks like you're currently on track for the same result.

Thankfully it was 20 years ago for us. Enjoy the ride!

DeBoer was in his first year installing a new defense and somewhat stuck half way in an offense that is not his style due to the players.

If we had better QB play we are likely undefeated.

Alabama was ranked #9 in FEI last year. They are ranked #9 so far this year. Are you forgetting this is the same QB/team that needed 4th and 31 last year? I haven't.

So yeah, I'm pretty optimistic and anxious to see what he produces next year. I liked the defense this year honestly for the most part.

And only paid 1 of them a buyout for a total of $4 million.

Buster Brown wouldn't get on board with the rampant cheating.
