I respectfully disagree with you. Heck, Bama's starting LT that year was James Carpenter, a 2 star out of high school that I believe was originally committed to Iowa State. They had talent, yes. However, it was a lot more than talent that won that championship. They had superior coaching and they were probably one of the most dedicated teams I have ever seen.

I think what we have reached here is a put up or shut-up moment. This isn't about where we fall in statistical rankings. We can show facts proving improvements are made (defense). We can show a Win progression. What we can't show is a skin that is meaningful. A scoop and score could have rendered this thread null. It didn't happen and now all the "proof" and rhetoric in the world won't help the cause. This only works with world-beaters like LSU and Alabama.
IF we win the West this season, mindsets will change. IF we lose the SECCG, things will get worse. But just like all things pre-season, all we have today are IFs. Passes the time.
