I use to work with a guy couple years younger than me that pulled for Carolina in everything but basketball. Basketball season he was a Duke guy. To his credit when they played in 2017 he pulled for the Gamecocks.

The state's two basketball teams suck.

In this era of bandwagon, I've seen a ton pull for the football team and Duke or UNC in hoops.

Every one of our guys was lightly recruited except for the one who's Mom has her jersey hanging in our rafters.

Bruce does an outstanding job of finding kids who fit his system. More importantly, he coaches them up when he gets them.

Sad. Apathy is a bitch, but I wouldn't call myself a fan of another school just because we suck.

I've felt 30+ years of pain of being a fan of UK.

Builds character.

So fricking sweet when you do something out of the ordinary.

Don't listen to the village idiots; no Clemson fan would pull for UNC or Duke.

Bruce’s is at a big disadvantage with AAU players because AU is not a Nike school.

There is a lot of dumb in this post, I'll do my best to address the most glaring ignorance.

quote:

lulz ..... I love how everyone is singing Bruce’s praises and declaring him vastly superior to Frank.

#1 - Bruce plays the AAU game and pushes the limits of the rules which is something I wish Frank would do. However, in all likelihood, it will bite Bruce in the arse again. Look at the offer list for our recruits...if he is playing the "AAU Game" he doesn't need much money to do so.

#2 - Even Bruce admits that FM owns him. He’s said it publicly. Isn't Bruce 1-1 each of the last 2 seasons with a win in the game which had direct championship implications both times?

#3 - Frank was behind the 8 ball after his Final Four run because of a BB gun and a dumbass PG who failed to take advantage of a second chance.

#4 - Frank signed better players from out of state than those that left the state and, in the process, signed guys that wanted to be here and were not influenced by a crooked AAU system in state that directs players out of state for money. Tinfoil?

#5 - Bruce and Frank have very similar coaching styles if you really look at it and know what you are seeing. The myth that Frank doesn’t play a hurry-up fast paced style of offense is bullshite. Really? Tell us more of how Frank and Bruce's systems are similar?

#6 - Injury bug and youth hurt Frank big time this season. Most of the season we were playing with 6-7 healthy scholarship players. shite happens. It's funny you'd mention injuries when talking about playing Auburn where one could argue in the last 2 seasons no team has benefitted more from an injured Auburn squad than USCe.

#7 - I’m pulling for Auburn and Bruce in a big way in this tourney and I promise you, there are going to be some epic battles between Frank and Bruce in coming years.
At last something we can agree on...Frank's defensive objectives are hard on Bruce's offensive philosophy. It comes down to who executes their plan better. In the last 2 seasons they each won that battle twice.

Bruce can recruit. Frank can't. Frank is one of the absolute best at getting results out of below-average talent, but as people have said before "players win games". I think Auburn can continue their run.

Bruce and Auburn Arena have made AU a good job in the future. Mainly because it forced the Administration to give a damn . The Conference is strong and the location is beneficial, really no reason for it to take this long.
