Will Auburn/FSU 2013 have a similar outcome as Bama/Miami 1992?

Same hype, same trash talking, same predictions of a margin of victory by multiple touchdowns for FSU, same 8 point line............ Same type of game/results?

Possible, but doubtful.

Agreed, and I say that because the '92 Bama defense was why we won that game so convincingly.

This game by all indications will be a shootout. Also, I don't think that the general perception is that FSU is going to win so handily.

Seriously, I don't know what to think. My head says close one that could go either way, but my heart says it could be a 2 td + win for Auburn. For me it all goes back to Auburn improvement every single week. Has Auburn peaked? I am sure they have not. Just how good can they be with 4 weeks to dial everything in?

I do know I will start breaking shite if they don't stop fumbling.

On the flip side I would guess that FSU is playing at near 100% of their potential and has little room for improvement before Jan 6th.

I am not sure you are thinking straight on this...

Not seeing many of those, even though FSU is favored. I think most people are predicting a shootout.

Honestly, though, a shootout can also end up a blowout if either team runs out of gas (like Mizzou in the SECCG). I could see either team winning this one by 2+ touchdowns.

For the record, I am taking Auburn and the points.

Not even close to the same trash talking Miami produced.

Outcome could be the same though

Defense wins championships. 92 Bama and 06 UF rode on their defense.

Defense used to win championships, now you can outscore teams. But thus Reminds me more of 2010 when folks said Oregon's offense could not be stopped and we held them to 19.

FSU has better athletes, but I believe we will slow them down enough to win. Running is better than passing. Auburn wins another close one.

Auburn would need a defense that doesn't suck to produce similar results to Bama/Miami '92.

So, no this game will not be similar.

It also won't be a shootout. Auburn won't score more than 24 points.

All you clowns predicting an AU win are delusional fricks who must not have been watching much football this season.

What was Auburn's defensive rank in 2010? This year it is ranked SUCK.

This is also a much more physical FSU team than that Oregon team. They can pound 200+ rushing up the middle like Bama did. They have big, physical receivers that man handle defenders. And their DL and LB corps has as many stud athletes as any in the country.

Oh yeah....... They also have one of the best kickers EVER.

Keep your expectations low, Barners, and remember that it was as much luck as it was skill that got you here.

Yes...Auburn will win by 17. Tre Mason will need a blood transfusion after the game to get oxygen back to his leg muscles from carrying the mail.

It's a good thing that we didn't lose every game that we were predicted to lose, isn't it?
