So you paint all Auburn fans with a broad brush because you suspect a UGA fan is actually an Auburn fan

You mean like Nick Fairley, that you guys absolutely love to troll us about?

Yeah, UGA fans are classless so I wouldn't expect y'all to honor a bet.

Oh, I don't know. I think we still have a guy on our board wearing the sig bet from the first game we had with you guys. Surely it is over by now?
It's not like we are Arkansas posters.

He's been around on our board long enough to think he is all UGA. He's good, just fair. he does give credit where credit is due as we all should.

2004 was an "illusion"? There are certainly no illusions of UGA having undefeated seasons in the last 37 years. In that same time period, Auburn has went undefeated 3 times.

UGA could have possibly had an undefeated season this year, but Auburn kept that from happening. Keep crying and enjoy getting drilled by OU.

Let's not like y'all weren't cheering for Oklahoma in 08 (and Ohio State in 06).

I agree Auburn does appear to have trouble building depth. But I feel their weakness is recruiting and developing QBs. The last 2 years they were a QB away from being a really good team. An interesting fact I read in the Bham paper. When ever Auburn has had a team that has won 9 or more games, Saban's record is 0 and 7. So when Auburn has equal talent, They beat Saban coached teams( LSU, BAMA )every time.

Playing in the playoffs? Of course we will enjoy it!
But if Oklahoma drills us, what would they have done to Auburn? See? We did you a favor!

Exactly. I certainly would have been cheering for Notre Dame in 1980 if I were alive back then.

I always pull for SEC teams in OOC games. Even Florida! Crazy I know.
But I get your point. I don't blame other fans for pulling for teams we play. If it affected the game it might be different.

His health would have made a difference. I'm not silly enough to say otherwise. I still think we came in there with a bit of a chip on our shoulder and would win. (At least that is what I believe) but for anybody to say it made no difference is crazy. In fairness, though, it was Auburn fans saying his injury would not help us or have an affect on the game.

Both fan bases have dumb fans! (Some of ours are just a little more vocal right now)

Crying? I'm laughing.
I laugh every time I think of Auburn 2003-2005. There was a lot of crying back in those days, and it wasn't by UGA.

Cheers

Fortunately I was alive back then, and working. (Yes, I am that old!)
I got a copy of it off the SEC Network awhile back, and all in all it was a pretty borhign game. I guess they all are when you know the outcome.

Not sure if you knew this, but Herschel separated his shoulder in the first quarter and played the rest of the game that way. Can't remember for sure, but it might have been on the first series....but I'm pretty sure it was early in the first quarter.

He and Bo were absolute specimens, and class acts. Auburn and Georgia were very lucky to have them

Not getting smashed by USC in 2003 would have helped a ton.

And Auburn still ended up with a crystal trophy a few years later. How about UGA?

Not at all, actually. Why would it?
If they had beaten us the second time it still wouldn't sting like the second game. but all in all, 40-17 means nothing. Hint: If you want to troll Georgia, 40-17 is not the way.

Look at who you are responding to. He would rather defend au than laugh at them. Not a legit uga fan.

I no longer view AU's recruiting/developing QBs as a weakness. Gus is a pro at getting transient QBs to perform at a high level (Newton/Marshall/Stidham) he's fielded fine teams with those guys. As long as there's a crop of top shelf QB's at the Juco level available, AU will be fine.

AU's weakness is inconsistency, they're a roller coaster team. As shown this year, they had/have experienced depth, a top shelf defense, and a solid QB, but so far they have 3 losses.

Gus' bowl record (1-3) is crappy with the only bowl win vs Memphis in the freaking Birmingham Bowl. He has a great opportunity to beat an undefeated UCF team in less than a week, IMO AU will dominate them.
