I’m in good health and I expect I’ll still be here in 10-15 years when Kirby makes everyone forget Saban. It would be sooner but there are only so many games each year and only one Natty.

YellaWood & Bobby Lowder been buying players for 3 decades. Auburn’s Atleletic Department is just so shitty, all you have to show for it is 2010

And we had the FBI investigating Auburn for Cam Newton and they found nothing. Bama fans just cant come to grips that Auburn does it the right way and bama has to cheat to be successful. Always been that way, always will.

Unless Bama finds some quality players I doubt they will have to worry about the playoffs. AU had them beaten last year and they looked like crap for most of the season. The decline was there for all to see. It started several years ago. Saban wasn’t the old Saban anymore. He was 70 plus and miserable and it was showing on the football field.

I think Georgia right now is ahead of Alabama and more like what we were several years ago.Kirby has that program in a better place than any team in college football in my opinion.

Kiffin has Ole Miss just under Georgia in my opinion. Lane will make the playoff this year with this Ole Miss team.

Nobody else in the SECnis ahead of us. Michigan is about to lose their coach also so we will have to wait and see.

Kelly is Les Miles with tits and will never win more than 11 games a season but is more of a 9-3 guys.

Auburn just wants to beat us and never really expects to be in the hunt for the natty. 2010 was a fluke and they still. Any believe it.

All the rest of you suck.

One natty per year is how it works yes sir. So you’re going with UGA?

I think that’s a great guess and you have reasons to believe that’s possible.

But I really don’t think it’s possible in 10-15 years no matter how good Kirby does. The gap is huge between UGA and Bama so maybe in 60-100 years to be realistic. Especially how things are starting to level out for everyone.

By what metric? Most likely Ohio state passes Alabama on the all time win list next season. Michigan already has more wins. When will Alabama ever catch Michigan?

If it’s nattys or sec championships about 2/3 of the latter are shared with another SEC team and all but what, 4 of the former were actually won on the field? You’re probably right….no body will catch Alabama’s pretend success because most universities have some modicum of decorum and even those who do not would be laughed off the stage trying to claim success the way Alabama does. I get it, Alabama football is the only thing keeping Alabama from being identical to Mississippi and New Mexico.

I don’t think things will be leveling out for Bama. Y’all got some real problems.
Kirby has already passed Saban in a lot of areas. Most straight SEC wins at 29 and 3 perfect back to back regular seasons, etc being only a couple.Check it out if you doubt it. It’s only a matter of time. Kirby isn’t even 50 yet. He is a man who lives to coach and to recruit. He is at his alma mater, one of the highest paid coaches in the land with the highest buyout, coaching with his best buddies at a school with unlimited resources and a generous rabid fan base. That will go a long way to keeping UGA on top.
Too bad about Bama though

How many true titles does Bama have anyway? Being proclaimed national champs by Big Fat Bubbas Bait and Tackle doesn’t count.

Because it seems most think we are about to take a huge step back. So who do you think has the best chance to close the gap?

Are you old enough to remember what Bama football looked like prior to Saban? Most of Bama success is due to 2 all time great coaches, Bear and Saban. Both the Bear and Saban were both bigger than the Bama brand. We are seeing it right now with the amount of recruits and players that have admitted they only came to Bama because of Saban and only Saban.

So let’s just look at “Bama Success”

All time wins and records:
Bear/Saban-432-75(41 years) (.852%)

Other 79 years- 522-261 (.666 %)

National Championships;
Bear/Saban- 12 (41 years)

Others- 6 (79 years)

SEC Championships
Bear/Saban- 22 (41 years)

All Others - 11 (79 years)

12 years prior to Saban vs Tennessee:

1-10.

So yea! It can be expected that Bama takes a big step back now that Saban is gone. It took Bama 10 years after Bryant retired to win another national title.

After Stallings won his title in 91, it was another 18 years after that till Saban won his 1st at Bama. Even after Stallings retired, Bama missed a bowl game 4 times the next 7 years. Stallings won 10 games his last season, then Bama went 4-8 the following

So now knowing the facts, you will see that history is not in Bama favor right now. Do I think they go 4-8? No! But I also don’t think you’re winning 10 games either this year.

Saban is the greatest coach of all time and Bear is #2 by many experts. But outside of Bear and Saban, the Bama brand and history really isn’t that impressive. There are a hand full of schools in the SEC that Saban would have done the same thing he done at Bama had he went some place else.

I just want to know if anyone has a guess who might catch them in total success.

So far I’ve only seen Yale and Mizzou as possible candidates.

Yale isn't a possible candidate to catch Bama. Bama is still trying to catch Yale. And Yale's championships mean about the same as Bama's as far as 2024 is concerned.

What you arrogant Bama fans forget is some of the tighter games over Saban's tenure at places like Starkville. Saban ain't walking through that door anymore & those upsets that were avoidable under Saban, won't be avoidable any longer.
