I am 60 and I can remember when one did whine and complain one was told to grow the frick up, walk it off, grow a pair...and some truly mean, triggering shite. We may have whined and complained in our heads but we damn sure didn't let anyone know we were doing it....I suspect it may be healthier from a mental health POV one way or the other but I don't know which way....
