I simply do not see this happening.

How long will it be until the East Big 3 win it all? Will they ever win it all again?

I really don’t see any East little 3 being able to due to geography and recruiting base unless USCe starts dominating the Carolina and Virginia recruiting regions.

Maybe aTm? But I just don’t ever see that program winning it all. shite they haven’t since prior to WWII

As a USCe fan, I think we could - but don't see it happening. The height of the Spurrier era was finishing #4....if we had the team we had then with the current setup, it's conceivable we could have made the playoff as the 2nd SEC team in.

I'll hold out hope, but wouldn't bet on it. Aside from us, TAMU and maybe Ole Miss if they get start cheating again as effectively as before.

I assume this was football only...because USCe will eventually get back to Omaha.

Honestly it doesn’t look like it will happen anytime soon. The most likely or team with most potential is I guess A&M, but they are in the West and I honestly don’t see it happening while Jimbo is there.

No. A&M is the only team with even the slightest possibility.

College football is dominated by these programs:

Alabama, LSU, Georgia, Auburn, Florida from the SEC (5)
Oklahoma, Texas from the Big 12 (2)
Ohio State, Penn State, Michigan, Wisconsin from the Big 10 (4)
Clemson, Florida State from the ACC (2)
Oregon, USC from the PAC 12 (2)
Notre Dame (1)

That's 16 programs.... Texas A&M and Tennessee might be able to get in to the mix, though I think everyone is getting tired of waiting around for it.

Otherwise, you'll always have certain programs do really well for a year or two... like Ole Miss a few years back.... Minnesota this year, etc.

But the 16 programs above are the only programs in my opinion with a shot to win a Title going forward.... and even some of those are a stretch like Wisconsin and Notre Dame.

Good teams that all had their time but not really so much anymore.

I want you to be wrong for the sake of college football. But you’re just not. I’d love for an Iowa or Michigan State or UCLA team to make a run, but the gap between the top programs is just widening. If I’m Indiana or Kansas State or Arizona, I watch that game last night and this morning I’m probably looking at ways to put more funds toward my basketball program.

Those teams aren’t ever going to play at that level. No team outside of 15-20 programs ever will. I do think A&M and Tennessee have the potential to get into the thick though.

Tennessee is like Nebraska. They will NEVER see success again like they have in the past.

Yeah, it would be nice for a northern team or west coast team to win one, just to revitalize the game in those parts of the country. If LSU wasn’t in it and a non-OSU big 10 or pac 12 team was in it, I would pull for them.
