I honestly think that LSU beats Alabama this year at Bryant-Denny. I don't fear Alabama - I loathe them. But, LSU has proven that Alabama is beatable - perhaps only by LSU, but still, the Tigers always match up well overall.

Too bad Les always saves all of his bullets for the Bama game. If LSU took every game on their schedule as seriously as they do the Bama game, they might be the team working on three national championships in four years instead of Bama. It's amazing how much better their preparation and game plans are for Bama compared to every other game on their schedule.

True. I agree with you completely. Fortunately, LSU still wins those other games, but they are hard to watch sometimes. Hopefully, Cameron will have the offense working better on a more consistent basis and we can get past some of that. The reports so far are good.

They worry about "one day when alabama sucks again" while their teams wallow in the midst of the worst period of football in their school's history. Tennessee hasn't been in a competitive with alabama in 4 years. Auburn has been rocked back to the stone ages the past 2 iron bowls.

A lot of truth here, I must admit. Execution is much better too.

Dubose won 4 games in 1997

Who has won an SEC championship more recently...the Tennessee Vols or Mike Dubose?

Fulmer only won one more SECCG than Dubose did. Dubose was at Alabama for 4 years. Fulmer was at Tennessee for 17.

This made me laugh.

Alabama prolly will suck again for 15 years, but then we will follow those 15 years up with 3 out of 4 nationals championships. It all balances out in the end. Roll Tide.

Hell, Dubose has a better chance than Fulmer of winning another one.

It will be a rough 15 years from 2025-2040 when we hire Kiffin, Dooley, and then Butch Jones in succession.

I am so grateful that I was a fan for that time period. It sucked soooooooooooo bad. And it has made our current success INFINITELY better, having never given up on loving Bama football. Oh, and never.

I agree with you Bro. I was in school during the end of Stalling's Tenure and the beginning of the Dubose years so I know. I said I will stand firm and not be a bandwagon fan so I savior also the Saban years.

It will be a slow slide, much like Oklahoma is going through. Someone new who is a better recruiter and more innovative has already beaten him and is in his division. Kevin Sumlin will be Nick Saban's downfall. Deal with it.

I love these threads

EVER is a long arse time bro. Pretty sure just about every cycle that has happened will repeat itself over a long enough time frame. All of us will have our Curley's, Ears Whitworth's and Dooley's come down the pike again.
