What stands out to me was Sumlin's record and win% was better than Bear Bryant's and yet they still fired him. This is the kind of institutionalized racism that should be investigated and punished but is allowed. Shame on you A&M.

Fixed it for you.
Bryant went from 1-9 to 9-0 in 3 seasons. Sumlin went from 11-2 to 7-5 in 3 seasons.

Yet he sure did struggle with juggernaut, unranked football teams like UVA, NC State, BC, Wake Forest, and Louisville.
All while he routinely signed top 5 nationally ranked recruiting classes. So like I said: he had some real head scratcher losses to unranked teams he had no business losing to.
