Did Saban dispute this narrative?

You mean the program that was in the CFP and won a game this year and the elite 8 in basketball last year?

The list of teams who did that is 2.

Year before that Bama missed the playoffs by one spot after losing the greatest coach of all time and made the final four.

Year before that? CFP semis and missed a championship on a 4th down conversion and made the sweet 16 in basketball.

No one else in the conference has anything like that over the last three years.

Think the athletic department is just fine when it comes to the sports anyone nationally cares about.

Why is Saban still an employee at the University of Alabama if he loves LSU so much?

Why would he turn down what’s essentially free money?
Y’all are paying him and he said LSU is the best job the country, and helped steer Kiffin to LSU.

Saban remaining on Alabama’s payroll isn’t the flex you think it is, SideTaint.

Curious, to say the least.

Not at all IMHO.

Being so close, he opened himself up to unwarranted scrutiny for the nods given and those not given.

He knew he was too vested and did the right thing by staying out of it. When you are the fricking GOAT, it's probably even harder to approve someone that you think is remotely on your level.

Saban Link you wanted

So with Saban saying what he did to Pat, and Kiffin saying what he said about Saban helping him that kind of implies that he did tell him to take the job.

There has been plenty of chances of Saban to refute what Kiffin said but that has never happened.

I know its hard for the Gumps to put 2+2 together but we understand.

I'm not saying he wasn't lying about this but you do realize that they provided an escort after he called them because he was supposedly nearly ran off the road, right?

No one ever said it happened while he was being escorted.

Mississippi DPS denies Lane Kiffin's claim he was run 'off the road'

The Mississippi Department of Public Safety is denying an allegation from former Mississippi football coach Lane Kiffin that he was being run "off the road" by angry Ole Miss fans after he decided to leave for LSU.

Again, he always said it happened before law enforcement was involved...

quote:

“I’m human. Even though you understand it’s the passion, you’re with your son and you’re driving and you’ve got to call a cop that you know so they’ll help you because you personally know them, because you are leaving the state,” the coach said. “You got to call them because you’re driving with your son and you’ve got to turn around. People are like screaming at you trying to run you off the road. I don’t know what they’re gonna do. So that affects you.

You:

Lane also claims to have been run off the road on the way to the airport by a crazed Ole Miss fan.

Naturally, the Mississippi Highway Patrol providing his police escort that day was able to prove Lane was fricking full of shite.

Lane never lies. Never.

They can't "prove" anything if they weren't actually there.

Because LSU is still #1 in his heart. He tolerates the Gumps, at best.

He’s trying to make up for how many times he hurt LSU.
