Why Should McCarron Stay?

As a selfish fan, I want him back next year, but I'm having a hard time finding a reason he should stick around another year.
The QB class is relatively weak.
He had a great statistical year (a 10:1 TD to Int ratio and one big throw away from 3,000 yards)
I don't really see where he will improve in strength, accuracy, or presence.
He has won two National Championship and performed at peak level on the biggest stage in college football twice.
As a redshirt junior, he has to be close to graduating, and he does not seem the type to really want to pursue a master's degree.
His best friend is turning pro.
Besides the opportunity to lead the team to an unprecedented 3rd BCS championship in a row, I just don't see why he stays.
Anyone got anything?

Next year the QB class is even weaker.

Maybe he wants to play outside of practice again.

If I were him, this is one of the few cases where I'd probably stay. Might as well try to make history. I don't think there will be another chance to 3-peat with the playoff system. By the time anybody else can win 3 straight NCs he'll have retired from the NFL.
If he were LSU's QB? Go pro. Anyone else's and I'd go. Alabama's? Go for history.

He wants to play with his brother next season, according to him.
And he probably has more fun at UA than he would in the NFL.

The opportunity for College qb immortality (3 rings) >>>> Sitting on the bench watching others play next year.

Not sure how accurate it is, but I read Saban has promised to give him a few looks at the jack lb spot if he comes back.

After losing what we're about to lose on the OL I tend to agree with you. I don't know the numbers and how much he can improve his stock or how many QB's he'll be competing for next year but I do know that even with this great OL he got hit a lot early on and he got hurt. There's no way next years OL will come close to this one and he can easily have a career ending injury although its harder to put QB's out for good I still think I'd head on this year ( and I sldo want him stay for selfish reasons real bad)

I can't see that being true, but I don't think it matters too much. McCarron isn't going on the first day anyways.

Bc if he doesn't make it in the NFL, he needs his degree to support the mrs....

Weaker QB class next year, grew up (his own words on ESPN the other day) wanting to be a Bama football player, his best friend his actually Kenny Bell, could make history, could continue to polish his game, which doesn't really have any holes in it to begin with.

If he's making good money now, why go to the NFL?

He could improve his game a little bit more.

And he'll bomb in the NFL. He is living the best time of his life now. Why shorten it? Not to mention the chance at 3 NC's. It's not like he's from a poor family. I'd stay. He'll never again be pampered and adored like he is at Bama.

Not that it matters much, but he is the fourth rated QB for 2014 beind Murray, Mett and Logan Thomas at VT. I think he is probably in the top two next year TBH
NFL QBs 2014

Three peat. Something no one will ever have a chance to do. He is still learning and he is not pressed for money. Why not come back?

Keep that girlfriend around college kids. If he goes to NFL, he'd be around alot more alpha males and he would end up losing her. No way is she going to be with him long term. There will be too many guys with alot more to offer her than him. He should enjoy her as long as he can.
