No worries, Auburn's entire season was a comedy show. Good luck with 5 loss Gus.

Sincerely,

Big bro

A lot of deflection from the OP by Itchy.

What happened after that Iron Bowl was almost worth losing the game. Almost, mind you.

I told them all what could happen and was likely to, but they didn't believe me. You can check my posts right after the game. You could see it coming a mile away, the first Iron Bowl that didn't mean a thing. Even their bragging rights meant nothing.

They thought they had finished us off, but Gus was all in and wore his team out physically and mentally, they were done after beating Bama and Georgia. So there they are, with everything right there in their grubby little fingers, and they get destroyed by a team they had just beaten in the SECCG.

Then the nightmare scenario comes true. Bama gets in the playoffs. The two teams they beat go to the finals, Bama wins the title again rendering their Iron Bowl win meaningless, and they embarrass themselves and the SEC in their bowl game.

I'd say that about sums it up and don't try to rebut that Barners, you can't. Because it's the truth.

P.S. There WAS ONE Barner that got a big win. Gus Malzahn conned AU into a big extension after beating Bama AND UGA

Only because the criteria was the “eye test”, Bama ‘s best win was against MSU.

That's not exactly true. Auburn was in playoff mode since late October. We had a brutal run over the last 5 weeks of the season. Our guys just ran out of gas and were physically beaten up to boot entering the SECCG.

Sure it matters. In normal world they wouldn’t have gotten in. They wouldn’t have had 6 weeks to prepare for a game . Only under the Committee run Invitational tournament can a non-divisional champ push out a Conference Champion. No other college sport works like that.

When all the Offensive Coaches started bailing he couldn't afford to have a complete overhaul of his coaching staff. With Sark he has an experienced Offensive Coach who knows his system on and off the field.

Joel Klatt said on radio the difference between Alabama and Clemson was that Clemson was a family and assistants loved working for him...

And Alabama was just a stepping stone mercenary factory that assistants couldn't wait to bolt when a better job came along.

Alabama lost 13 assistant in 7 years he said.

That's almost 2 a year. It's a revolving door for some coaches resume and they say, see you later...apparently coaches can't stand Saban but they love Dabo.

Lol. How Beta of a post. Too bad depth is a key component of having a good team.

Since 2010 when Cam won the National Title, Alabama has won 4 National Titles.

And you only needed two mulligans to win those 4 title.

So, it's better to have assistants that have no ambition?

I don't get it when people try to belittle Alabama for being successful. I guess a point can be made that Dabo's assistants like working for him, and maybe Saban is tough on his assistants, but most leave for better jobs, so is it hard to understand their leaving?

OP, I think you're close to what Saban is thinking with this hire. Unfortunately, Bama didn't get it measuring stick or sticks until seasons end, but Saban now knows this Bama team has many issues to fix, some familiarity from Bama's recent past would help free up Saban's time for other needs.

I laugh when I see this. Did Saban get love for when Kirby refused a million head coaching offers over a 9 year period? Did Saban get articles that Bama is the place coordinators want to work at when that was taking palce? People will believe whatever their told to believe by media, won't they? We see this within politics, but now sports is riddle with people not using basic logic, or their critical thinking skills to think it out. Saban had Kirby for 9 years, and now his defensive coordinator are getting head coaching jobs after coaching Bama Defenses. Dabo has his defensive coordinator for 7 years now, he's enjoying his Kirby like coordinator. Sometimes you just get coordinators who are happy where there at.

Saban has only had a few offensive coordinators for 2-3 years under Saban. Witnessing some of the red-zone play-calling these past 5 years or so, I can't blame anyone for wanting change or somebody leaving after hearing about those failures. Saban demands a bunch, and it take having coordinators like Kirby to buy into the same work ethic, or having an environment that accepts mediocrity.

You should know why. Saban has to one-up your team.

Sure, Gus picks his nose on national TV.

Sark picks it AND eats it!
