Why people still act surprised that A&M is mediocre

They have been posing for 90 years without anything of substance to back it up.

This is hardly new. Their supposed potential is a false narrative that has been repeated enough that people start taking it as truth. Facts clearly indicate another reality.

It’s not surprising but Aggy fans on here sold this narrative about the best (most expensive) class ever etc.

Dumbo Fisher is NOT a very good coach, he caught lightning in a bottle one of the seasons J Winston had at FSU in a year that CFB as a whole had a lot of mediocre teams..

I think what has killed A&M is Jimbo calling the plays. The man should have hired someone long ago but his undoing maybe his lack of running a wide open offense. I think this will be his last year calling the plays. They cannot fire him but another 8-4 year he will be forced to hire someone.

Mediocrity at A&M predates Fisher. Is not that they are ranked in the pre season top 10 every year but every time they do they flop. Is just who they are regardless of coach.
