Why not get rid of the permanent rent a wins some teams have from the other division so there isn't a need for a 9 game schedule?
Would it really hurt Bama's record to play Kentucky instead of Tennessee?
Would UGA really be harmed by playing Ms. State instead of Auburn?

Please tell me WHAT school has a "rent-a-win" cross-division opponent? & don't say TN/Alabama because back in the 90's that game was pretty much an automatic "W" for the guys in orange!
I know this isn't a legit site, but you can see everybody is about 50/50 on their cross-division rivalries.

I know that. But not much history of TA&M/SC & Mizz./Ark. cross-division rivalry yet.

9 games is coming , sooner than later. You know how this works , most of the coaches are saying NO, most of the ADs are saying not sure, Then Slive goes to the Presidents and says this is how much more we make with 9. And the answer is YES! it ain't about what you want , it's about what ESPN wants, and believe it or not come the middle of August the SEC belongs to them!
