These threads will be a distant memory when the new stadium opens in 2017.
Well except for those that never make it to the SECCG to see how awesome the venue is. They will still bitch.

I was setting it up for some stories from UGA/UF fans.

The Alamodome/San Antonio--while not technically an NFL stadium/city--is another great option.

Most drive? Really? That's interesting.
I remember when the Ags played in the B12 Championship (save jokes/jabs for another thread), we made quick plans to fly to the game that week, then to the Sugar Bowl a few weeks later. Wasn't a big deal at all.
I'd bet most fans flew in for B12 champ games, annually.

Oh please.......Georgia fans would still be bitching if the 2011 SEC Championship were held in New Orleans.

I wasn't trying to be "that guy;" we're just very used to flying to games, that's all.
Proximity has spoiled some of you SECers.

We're not close to anyone in conference.

Mizzou, Ark, LSU, and tamu are all fairly detached from the conference

This is more intriguing
It also helps to spread around post-season money around the conference footprint a little more, while leaving Atlanta locked up, so it can't be taken from us. Especially if the basketball tourney is going to stay in Nashville.

TD guy did this a couple years ago.
I'm surprised, there are more schools in a 6 hour drive than I thought.

Those are straight lines, but the mileage is in driving distance.
