I know it’s probably already been covered but why is Odom (Mizzou head FB coach for those of you not aware of who he is) melting so publicly over a coach or two trying to poach a couple of his seniors?

It’s SOP and it’s not against NCAA rules once you’ve been placed on bowl probation.

Okay so I get the part about Kelly Bryant and all, but who else are they (specifically Proot at UTk) trying so desperately to poach?

This is not a good look for either head coach honestly. Odom vs Proot ... it’s getting ugly quickly.

And why won’t any of the SEC coaches return Odom’s damn calls? Show the man some iota of conference decorum for gosh’s sake.

He just went 8-5 with the best player to ever step foot in Columbia, it’s all downhill from here and I think he knows it

I’d be curious to know if they contacted any Ole Miss players when they became available.

It happens. It’s going to happen even more with the new transfer rules.

I would be unhappy if I was coaching Missouri, too.

Now that was a free-for-all. Harbaugh flew the Mich jet to Oxford and was meeting with players at the IHOP. I hope nothing but the worst for that guy in his coaching career.

A Tennessee radio host melted down a couple seasons ago when we were in 2nd place in the SEC over UT. He referred to UK as popcorn farts.

It's pretty damn disrespectful to not even notify the guy or even call him back. I don't blame him for being salty.

But, he says it himself, "Penn State, Ole Miss, Missouri, we're all in the same boat" Yep, busted

So, beside UT what other SEC schools are pursuing his players?

That CBS report doesn’t name the others ... just Tennessee because evidently UTk is after five skill guys, not sure who. Surfing around on the web a bit, apparently Odom believes Arkansas and Ole Miss want a couple of WRs and RBs and Auburn is still trying to convince Bryant to defect now that the bowl probation is in effect and he can leave. Also, evidently, both Auburn and UT are talking to some other QB who has now been moved down the depth chart behind Bryant and I’ve not been able to decipher if he is even a senior or not. I can’t find anywhere where he is named specifically or what class he is a part of.

Only seniors are eligible to transfer under the rule.

Ole Miss needs every defensive player position. I don't think we would be seeking out WR's as we have a bunch already on roster and in the incoming class

That just isn’t true. He’s not even the best QB we have ever had.

Lock was only a 4 star, and far from the best player to ever come to Missouri. Hell, not even the best QB.

He has a point. Tennessee’s coaches are acting cowardly.
