Yeah, that sucked. The team quit.
That doesn't change the fact that fat faced Kirby lost yet again when it mattered most, will take a losing 1-5 record to the grave against diddy Saban, is 1-2 against Kalen Deboer, is an embarrassingly bad 2-7 against Alabama, and that Pete Golding just slapped him directly across the face with a dick on national television

I can,
Pete Golding has done an excellent job
of keeping Lane's team together for the playoffs
of not interfering with Lane's gameplan and offensive scheme
of not getting in the way of the talent Lane assembled in old mrs

the insecurity is real people.

Because in one sentence you give him some credit and then in the very next we get the "yeah but"
Both things can be true. Answer my question...who is responsible for where they are at?
Are you saying Lane didn't do an excellent job as HC of Ole Miss?

Are we insecure, or do we just offer up a little bit of the reality that he inherited a hell of a team built by Kiffin.
And thus, no amount of revisionist history from you guys will convince us to not be excited about him doing that here?

if LSU wouldn't have let the offensive coaches coach the last two games they probably would have lost. Pete has nothing to do with the offense.

Well, DeFour didn't make the playoffs last season and got his brains beat out by Indiana this season. Not "Oh, well, we got beat by 3 points, how can we adjust." it was "CRAP! Which truck just ran over us and where did it go?"

Cling to Saban all you want...but he ain't coming through that door any time soon. He's gone.

is 1-2 against Kalen Deboer
Thanks to dropped, wide open pass by a true freshman receiver. The next time we met it was a beat down of epic proportions. The Tide has changed and there is a new sherriff in town...and it is not Saban nor Alabama. Enjoy.

Which do you prefer?
A 5 point loss on National television or a 38-3 beat down on National television? I mean, your team almost scored one whole touchdown in the game. Almost.

I went back to 2008 before I found a game in which Georgia lost by 35 points. Indiana knocked Alabama back 17 years in the past!
The last time Alabama lost by 35 or more points was to Arkansas in 1998. Hey, Cajunbama...welcome to 1998!
In just two seasons as head coach, Kalen DeBoer now owns three of Alabama's seven 20-point losses since 2000. The Crimson Tide suffered a 24-3 defeat to Oklahoma in 2024 and lost 28-7 to Georgia in the SEC championship game this season. By losing 38-3 in the Rose Bowl, DeBoer now has a loss by a wider margin than any defeat during the Saban era.
Worst Alabama losses: Where Rose Bowl defeat vs. Indiana ranks for Crimson Tide this century

Goldings success is apparent to the entire sports world outside of the LSU fan base.
Too early to judge Golding one way or another. He is winning games with a roster he didnt build, and the defensive side (supposedly his strength) has been weak (Tulane had 421 yards of offense, UGA had 343). Better hope that Trinidad waiver gets approved

Lane has beaten Kirby. golding success has been greatly aided by LSUs OC. rebs do NOT beat UGA without Charlie Jr directing that offense. Nobody else on om staff could have ut up 30+ on the dawgs.

What about superman's best friends lil brother, Jake Olsen. He just coached an All Ameican safety at LSU.

Lane: I don't believe in this team that I put together to be able to compete for the NC, so I'm gonna go to one with a bigger stadium.
Actual coaches on the team: Hold my beer....
Lane is just a "brand" that gets hype and talk (fun for a while as a fan), but the success of his teams depend 100% on his assistants. Our offense, without Lane's interference, under CWJ has looked much better - from execution to in-game decisions. If Lane were coaching us just the Georgia game, he would not have gone for the 2 long FG's that won us the game and our season would be over.

Insecure NO. That's just the reality of the situation. How bout we wait till next year to decide how EXCELLENT coach Golding is? His defense was NOT so EXCELLENT against UGA. LSUs OC had the rebel O humming though.

bama should have kept him as their DC.
