How do you know they don't? Did you for some reason expect an announcement in the middle of the season? If so, why?

Seems odd they’re resorting to backup plan hires

You mean what you've read on the CCB? Cuz those guys are in the know, inside sauces, and all that stuff.

Here's your attention and keep me posted how our hiring process continues to progress.

Fisher and Herman both turned them down last time.

Quit talking out your arse, just because LSU doesn’t hand a 7-5 coach a $10m year salary doesn’t mean it treats them like shite. Any normal program that has won a championship in the last 75 years would expect more than .500 after winning it all..

What coach would take a job in the middle of the season ? My bet is LSU will hire a coach that will have a few programs nervous in the end.

Three coaches in the last 20+ seasons for LSU. How many for the aggies since '20? What does that say about how they treat their coaches?

Faggies scared their window for being #2 in the west is closing.

LSU is hands down a GREAT program. Honestly, they scare me more than anyone else in the SEC post Saban.

Recruiting lights out...Sec expansion has only helped them.
Great facilities...passionate fan base...no in-state rival...History of winning...

Not remotely concerned.

#2 in the West ? Minus the Covid Season, they haven't been closer than three games back of the SECWC since joining the SEC.

Alabama had to be turned down by Spurrier and RichRod before they hired Saban during their last search and that didn't happen to late December or early January IIRC.

Iirc, I think we were turned down by Saban, then Spurrier and RichRod, before finally hiring Saban. Thus allowing Mal Moore to keep his testicles attached.

They are delusional for thinking this. Their Alabama envy and jealousy is pathetic.

The story I saw on TV was bama was turned down by at least rich rod might have been others too. tide higherups told moore (believe that's his name) go to miami and DON"T come back to alabama without saban. saban wouldn't even talk to him at first. Eventually a meeting happened and saban finally agreed. Sounds like bama was hunting saban not the other way around.

If it was the middle of December you might have a point. No coach is going to publicly accept a job in the tail end of the regular season.

Story goes LSU had jimbo after the '15 season. Agent agreed to a contract with aleva. Then said agent came back with his hand out again. aleva told him to go kick rocks. Les BEAT the aggies and was retained. jimbo was a big smoke screen in '16 once Les was terminated.

aleva did want hermann. Only thing is hermann was all longhorns. Always was his end game. aleva then hired EdO and a couple of seasons later the man delivered the GREATEST season in college football HISTORY.

Possible NCAA sanctions hanging over the program doesn't help.

You do realize they also are the only ones that can say they fired 2 national championship head coaches?

Both deserved to be fired. Les was given every chance in the world to change offensively. O has done nothing but frick up on his own doing since’19

Most people worth their salt also realize he should’ve never been hired

No school can just pick whoever they want, especially when coaches can make 8 million a year at a place where the expectations aren't super high. Take Mel Tucker. Why go to LSU when he can make just as much at MSU and have a lot more job security.
