They were the most hated fanbase of the ‘80s and ‘90s… but then they basically ceased being relevant in almost all sports.
I don’t hate them like I used to. But when I watch them on days like today, I remember why I disliked them so much.

It’s just this board’s opinion of them and a few bad posters. Living here the people are great, the fans are fine. It’s no different than any other fan base. Personally I find myself more embarrassed for my home state more than anything that happens in East Tennessee.

I was on a work trip in Miami for the 2022 LSU-UTk football game, so I gave my tickets to my little brother (quite a bit younger than me) who was a current student at LSU. After the game he called me and said something along the lines of “when did Tennessee fans become so damn obnoxious?” I said “they’ve always been that obnoxious, they just didn’t have the internet to broadcast it to the world last time they were relevant.”

Cause there fans are some of the biggest douchebags you'll ever deal with.
