They play FSU every year, so there's your quality non-conference game every year. Got to pay bills with the other three slots as much as you can.

They play a neutral site game against UGA every year, so there's your every other year home game lost to a neutral site.

Other than signing up for one of these one-off games (which requires that you have an opening on short notice, and be attractive for such a matchup at that particular time) in a year where they are the designated visiting team against UGA, what are they supposed to do?
You can say the same thing about UGA tho.. GT every year outta Conf. & UF in Jax....

In the last 5 years UGA has played in Tempe, Stillwater, Boulder & at Clemson this year OOC...

Because of the state pressure they receive to keep playing FSU and the U

Teams like LSU and Bama do it because that's their marquee non conf game. I'm shocked LSU played Oregon and West Va in the same year.

Florida has Fla St every year

UGA did it with Ga Tech and Boise St but Ga Tech is historically not on FSU's level

Also, I don't care. If it was up to me we wouldn't play any of those type of games. It's lose/lose IMO

I was just curious. I've never understood this magical boarder of west of the mississippi. Most of the best teams aren't out there and it's a shitty part of the country to travel through to get to the good ones. Florida has an emberassment of riches of good teams in their state. I wouldn't leave and as a fan in a state that big i'd think it was a big enough hassel to get around that state much less leave the state.

I've never understood the logic behind scheduling your first game of the season as an away game. When the fans are fired up to see the new team and then can't go to the game? Doesn't make sense to me.

Wouk you rather them go out of state to play a TCU or a Washington team? I think if we had a legit instate school like FSU or even Miami, we would never leave the state to play OOC games...

Especially for teams that have a hard enough time beating teams like Bowling Green and ULL at home.

UF needs to stop acting like a vagina and let FSU join the SEC, period. FSU to the SEC makes geographical and cultural sense. FSU will be another juggernaut if they join.

I'd be all for keeping them out since they said no before. You make your bed you sleep in it.

They want to make as much money as they can with as many home games possible.

And honestly, if it hasn't hurt us getting in the Natty game before, who the hell cares?

I don't know why people care so much. What do people suggest, adding more tough games on top of FSU? We already play Miami every few years. What other SEC schools play 2 BCS opponents yearly? UGA is the only school that can say anything, they are the only ones that have played more OOC BCS opponents then us. Why does it matter where they are played?

BTW, I believed the last time we played OOC across the Mississippi was in 1983 against USC.

2010: Miami of Ohio
2011: Florida Atlantic
2012: Bowling Green
2013: Toledo

You know, I'm not sure.

ETA: I'm sure if Foley called up the operators of the CFA Kick off game or Cowboys Classic and said "We're interested in playing in your event", they would be happy to arrange for Florida to play in those games.

my question is why do ppl be so worried about UF's schedule, i mean we play 9 bcs conf teams every year which is what most teams do, or maybe ppl would like to see UF play 10 or more every year and maybe we will....when everyone else do too.

we do play fsu every year and along with a 8-game conf sched, that makes 9 bcs games every year, i would also assume tenn plays 9 bcs games, and if that's the case i don't see the complaint.

Lol you think it's only UF that doesn't want FSU in the SEC? Don't be so naive.
