We played in Atlantis last year and Maui three years ago… Pearl wants that beach but the options were limited…

I was a bit ticked off and confused when I saw that field. Maybe we've just been spoiled with good early season tourney's the past few years.

Isn't Maui Invitational and Battle for Atlantis considered the cream of the crop? We've played in both of those recently.

does a team know who is in a tourney before entering?

Unless the team is run by fools then yes they would. Seems like a better fit for UAB than an SEC team

so makes sense they try play more weak basketball programs.... try too inflate their record, better shot at tourney, ect and so on...

only God knows how bad Auburn football fixing to get... not doing anything there anytime soon

A free vacation to Cancun in November to play basketball. It’s a scrimmage tournament and fun for the team and families.

Thank you, gumps… for your continued interest in all-things Auburn.

Being able to go to Cancun looks like the only perk.

Auburn sucks at football but has still ripped off who knows how many in a row against Arkansas. I've lost count.

The bammers just don’t get it. Saban killed and ruined college football, and now those mouth-breathers are trying to dip into college basketball.

Kinda bummed about that field but our OOC is always strong under Pearl. I believe we get Kansas or Baylor in the Big 12/SEC challenge since we won the SEC so there is that.

You mean you wouldn't want to sell a free trip to Cancun to your incoming recruits?

That field is horrid. Did they sign up for it and then the tournament committee just failed miserably?

Sounds like it's a tourney we should win and get a Cancun trip out of it as well.

What's the problem?

Probably not a huge deal but I'd guess Pearl is kind of like "WTF guys" to that tournament committee right now.

Oh I agree. Last year's tourney was really solid
