Try telling any gathering of Auburn fans that and be prepared to be lectured about how incredibly difficult Auburn is to get into and how everyone at Alabama is only there because they made an 11 on their ACT, they snort a pound of coke a day, and no one else (even the junior colleges) would accept them.

Alabama fans are arrogant to the point of delusion over their football program while Auburn fans are just as arrogant and delusional over their perceived vastly superior standing academically compared to Alabama and other schools in the SEC.

When your AD states that playing Bama at home is the mountain top then you have to take his word for it. The game is even called the mountain top game by many. It was the most emotional day in AU history, the mountain top for AU according to the man who knows AU as well as anyone.

Auburn's academic standing rises in direct proportion to their losses. In 2012 they were the MIT of the south....just ask them.

For some reason, I read this post in this guys voice.

And Alabama's decline is in direct proportion to their increase in enrollment. Waterdowned the academics in order to maintain 34K enrollment.

No, but most Auburn people honestly believe they are MUCH, MUCH closer to Vanderbilt academically than they are Alabama which was my whole point. Auburn is a solid, above average school academically. However, you guys think you're barely behind Vandy right there with Florida, A&M, Georgia Tech, and Georgia while Alabama and the rest of the SEC are several notches below you.

Auburn's engineering school is an absolute joke compared to Georgia Tech and even Texas A&M. Its probably on the same level as Mississippi State.

Bama has these stats over 90% of college football teams today. You have a 7 game lead after 78 games...and its shrinking.

It is a source of great pride for AU fans that they are only 7 games behind, and they should be.

Which is laughable.....Bama is typically ranked higher than AU in every poll...AU is really just the Mississippi State of Alabama

So then historically you were little brother with no stones to take on the alpha male.

It might have something to do with the fact that Bama has won more NCs in the last 5 years than Auburn has won in the history of their program.
good example here.

What is your point here?

It was the mountain top it was the day we forever shed "lil bro" status and we haven't looked back.

I honestly don't know any Auburn fans who really believe that. Auburn and Alabama are simply middle tier state schools.

I never put much into polls (even the recent Forbes survey). But most people know where AU compares to UAT, based on quality of students. Just compare the average ACT score of incoming students. Bama has to go out of state just to bring average test scores up to Mississippi State's level.

Good point.

Bama -LSU Series record
Alabama leads, 48–25–5

I guess we've been calling the wrong team little bro.

It's been a good series. The past was definitely lopsided as hell.
