Why did UT win the NC after Peyton left?

System QB. Kenny Hill actually plays more to Sumlin's play calling than JFF

They are certainly less annoying.

I was never that impressed by him... Of course he never did anything besides suck booty cheeks against lsu.
I take that back, I was impressed by him against Bama in 2012 and Duke...

Tennessee better without Manning. Georgia better without Dominique.

Because for all of his greatness, Manziel rarely operated within the offense. He frequently checked out of runs and short throws, didn't take what the defense gave him and was always looking for the big play instead of the safe 5-10 yards when there was nothing downfield. Additionally, he scrambled to run while Hill scrambles to create throwing lanes. Our offense is simply more efficient and stays ahead of the chains.
Not to mention that our defense is significantly better this year with a pass rush.

Hell no. Not in the conversation.

Kenny Hill is a Southlake Carroll kid. They produce great QBs generally, and for the spread type systems in particular, their QBs come to college uber-advanced relative to their peers. We learned it with Chase Daniel and other programs have learned it with Southlake QBs too. Couple that with Hill being very talented and athletic and the system ATM runs and the maturation of the younger ATM players around him and it's not that far fetched.

There were a hell of a lot of throws Manziel would regularly decline to make.
He very often refused to throw into any tight coverage, preferring to scramble until he found wide open guys.
Kenny is progressing through his reads and making throws Johnny wouldn't (most of the time).

They actually have a somewhat okay defense. They had one of the worst in the country last season.
A&M went 11-2 with Johnny in 2012. I'll be pretty surprised if they go 11-2 or better this season.
This thread is about three months too early.
