They lost at home and got another chance, rendering our win at BDS useless. They were eating popcorn while we had to play Georgia.

If tua doesn’t get hurt and they went 11-1, I bet it’s another (1)LSU and (4)Alabama rematch in the Peach Bowl. They would’ve compared OU and Bama’s loss and said Bama had the better loss.

Is that when the Booster Mulligan croaked and left $200 Million to buy a decade worth of Mercs after the Gumps had to vacate 31 wins due to NCAA violations

So, LSU was going to have to keep playing Alabama until Bama won???? Seems unfair!

It’s Oklahoma State’s fault APSD. If they just don’t choke that Iowa St game away, LSU would without a doubt be 2011 National Champs along with y’all’s 2011 SEC Championship. It’s hard to beat the same team twice in the same season in ncaa football. 1996 Florida got a mulligan and it helped them too.

ETA: I will say though had 2019 Bama somehow lucked our way into the 2019 playoffs, LSU would definitely have beaten Bama again. I didn’t want any more of Joe’s schlong to be brutally honest.

I mean I hate Bama, but there's no way Okie State was more deserving of a shot even if they hadn't choked. I don't even think that their fans would disagree. 2011 Bama beats 2011 LSU 9/10 times as well. You can't hide your QB against a great team and just hope your defense and special teams do enough to win twice like Less tried to do.

The one great sacrifice Lsu made by having to play us again was it most definitely resulted into the 4 team playoff.Up until that game the Pac12 & Big10 were against it while Slive & the SEC always wanted it.When that matchup was announced I think we all knew a playoff was otw.

Meh.

I’ll give them 7/10

By the 4th loss in a row even les would have to change the game plan... right??

I wasn't posting here back then, but the LSU fans I did know said they were glad to play Alabama again, because they had already done it once that year and they would do it again.

Truth. That + eight in a row is the reason LSU fans enjoyed beating Alabama more than they enjoyed watching their team win a national title.

It’s pretty simple.

Some teams go out and win championships without the help of others (2019 LSU, 2018 Clemson) - these are the programs that have won 15 games in a single season.

Other teams need mulligans/outside help/luck to win championships because they aren’t good enough to do it themselves (2017 A1abana, 2011 A1abana) - these are the programs that have never ever ever won 15 games in a single season.

That's the damn truth that beating Bama was way bigger & more important to most Lsu fans than beating Clemson for the Natty. They finally got the monkey off their back.As u said the 8game losing streak caused that. U hardly ever hear them bring up beating Clemson.

Simple question:

Who had the best team in 2011? Alabama! Without a doubt.

Anybody who thinks Oklahoma State was better is a retard.

Bama beats Oklahoma State by 30 points if they had a playoff then.

If by “change the game plan” you mean “instead of running toss-dive right three times then throwing a single-receiver Hail Mary, he’d run toss-dive left three times, then throw a single receiver Hail Mary”...then maybe.

"We're gonna wear 'em down. We just need one play to break it open. I like Jefferson's chances to do that." - Made up, but probably close to the truth, Les Miles

The sad truth about Les was that he truly believed it was all about execution. He stated after the lose to Wisconsin that the game plan was good LSU could just not break one of the toss dives open for a TD and that was why we lost. It was really sickening, and he still believes that we could have beaten Bama in 2011 if we just executed better.

An okie lite choke away from being tied 4-4 for most natties this century. It is what it is though, part of what makes a team is the coaching, and although I think the 2011 LSU football players had what took, les miles did not
