Texas 55 SHSU 0
LSU 56 SELA 10

Just like LSU fans, Texas fans have let a blowout of a borderline FCS team convince them that the offense isn’t broken - Ohio State (Clemson) just has a good defense.

UF doesn’t have the offense Ole Miss does, but they won’t need it if the defense holds arch to < 13 points.

14-13 UF wins an ugly one at home.

But Ohio State does have a good defense

Texas will go as far as Manning can improve. His numbers last game regardless of competition level were encouraging.

If he can be average they will win 10 games still as their roster is talented

Floridas offensive is so bad and Texas has a great Defense. Hard to see but I’m listening.

Texas ran for 166 yards on 4.8 ypc vs Ohio State

Ohio State had 126 yards passing and 77 rushing yards 2.4 ypc vs Texas

Florida couldn’t do anything offensively vs Miami or LSU, their run game averaged 79 yards on 2.8 ypc

Beck had a horrendous game vs Florida and Miami still ran for 191 yards 3 TDs 4.5 ypc

Texas D is better than Miami(comparable rush/run d, much better secondary) and LSU’s(comparable secondary, much better run d/pass rush)

Ohio State is better than Florida at every positional group aside from maybe OL, that’s even debatable

Texas will win this game even if Arch plays his absolute worst, Florida’s only chance is playing a backup qb that Texas isn’t prepared to defend

Arch still improving =Texas big win
Arch reverts to bad = close Texas win.
IMO, Lagway is like the bad Arch but without the other talent around him

I could excuse Lagway vs LSU because they play cover 1, but Miami plays cover 3/4/6 like Texas and he played even worse. I thought he would be elite vs the zone because his strength is throwing at different arm angles and layering, but unless he was sandbagging

It’s possible for special teams and defense to score points too.

Definitely possible, but the games against Sam & SELA are not the reason.

Florida is a talented team. Lots of NFL draft picks on both sides of the ball.

Lagway is from Texas and might rise to the occasion. He is good when is on.

The game is at Florida.

Billy is desperate for a win.

It is supposed to rain.

Summary
Both defenses are really good. The team that takes care of the ball better and finds success running the ball will win the game. I've got it a 1 score game either way. Around 14-20 points each.

Playcalling is a real wildcard in this one.

Both teams off of a bye week. Both coaches trying to help their QBs figure it out.

I’m curious to see how both coaches approach the game. Conservative vs letting it rip.

Arch against UTEP: 11/25 for 114 yds 1 TD and 1 Pick.

My point was not that OSU = Clemson. It was that Texas fans are focusing on a blowout against an awful team to convince themselves that tomorrow will be a blowout. Arch hasn’t had a good game against a defense with a pulse yet. Maybe tomorrow he will, but that’s what LSU fans thought last week too.

Our O is pee wee football caliber. We’re at risk of a shut out tomorrow unless the D can score.
