I am definitely on team nine
I like OOC matchups a lot but I want to play as much of the top half of the SEC every year as possible

This conference was ruined with expansion. Especially the last. No disrespect to them but the distance for both does not fit and caused very good rivalries in this conference to suffer.
Now comes two more with even further distance from the south east that will put additional old conference rivalries in danger. Instead of traveling say 5 hours you now are going to do 12 hours plus. The expense of two-three out of town trips, throw in the SEC Championship, playoffs, natty....
Big big bucks!
They just about have all of us priced out.

I know...conferences should only be 2 teams who are side-by-side. Any more than that, & those not in the middle will complain it's farther for them to travel.

Dumbass, we would still play everyone every other year with 8 conference games. 1-7 model.
I don't get the downvotes. I assume it is people who want nine games but you were just explaining the math, not a preference.

People on this website are very bad at math.

Moran, we have the easiest rivals in the league. Of course we want 9 games.

it would probably cut out a lot of the quality non conference games
Most of the nonconference games are hot garbage. There are some great ones, but most are not appointment TV.
Now, if you are the networks, do you want A&M playing Lamar or playing Texas? Do you want UF playing UT Martin or Oklahoma?
