UCLA (1): 1954 (Coaches)

Washington (1): 1991 (Coaches)

I liked watching Georgia growing up and they have been pretty good over the years.

Why doesn't Georgia have more national titles with all of the in-state talent? Was high school football not that great on Georgia in the 50's, 60's, or 70s? Is it due to a bad run of coaching hires?

Wait, UGA claims 5, Ole Miss at least 2, TAMU claims 3... Bama claims 15 (including the most bogus one ever claimed, 1941)...

Auburn claims 2, one of the programs with integrity

41 was bogus

66 is not claimed and bama should have been unanimous national champions, but the media was mad at George Wallace

We claim 1942, didn't get the votes in 1946, won it in 1980, lost in the national title game in 1982, didn't get the luck in 2002 or 2007, fell one pass short of mnc shot in 2012, and had our team strength decimated in 2013.

Is that relevant to a discussion about National Champions? Don't give the bams any ideas if they can start thinking about claiming because they thought they had enough talent to win them katie bar the door. UGA 2013 8-5

A little history lesson for you

When other SEC teams had sent their football players to War World 2, UGA had an abundance under the schools ROTC program exempt from draft....beat UF soundly back then since we didnt even have a team to speak of. Must make you proud.

You have one NC title and the buttsniffers were lucky as hell when you beat UF (a team that had gone 0-10-1 the year before) in the last minute of play to remain undefeated. AU was down and you had weak schedule and Herschel...UT was not good back then also. Maybe by 2032 you might get lucky again....but please dont fire Richt.

Why did it take Auburn, Tennessee and LSU so long to win their 2nd title?

Let's cut Georgia a little slack.

More importantly, since 1980 the SEC has 6 different teams who have won a national title.

Find another conference in your list with that many different champions since 1980.
