No, not even close.

Also, we go to watch the game, not to have a good time. This is a major difference between us and LSU. Even the students do it

There are plenty of dominant programs with intimidating home atmospheres. For example, Florida has one of the best home-field advantages in CFB with the Swamp and nobody's had more success than them over the last 20 to 25 years. Getting amped up for opponents doesn't seem to be a problem for them.
The most intimidating place in the SEC is USCe. They've been selling out there for 10 yrs, way before they were competing in the East. I don't agree that UF is that intimidating for off games. No place is. Tell ushow intimidating was was Tiger Stadium to Towson or Troy. We haven't played that many tough games at home since Saban has been there.

Most of our fans suck arse and don't know when to get loud. In last years LSU game, it was louder when we were on offense. It's infuriating.
Edit: we also have a ton of "sit down, I can't see" fans which is equally as frustrating.

I agree. I was very underwhelmed by the crowd noise at last years Bama/LSU game. It was much louder in 2009, for whatever reason. And, both of the previous games in Death Valley were better than the 2011 "Game of the Century".

The more I think about specific instances, the more I hate our fans. We have the best team in the nation with one of the largest stadiums. There is no excuse for BDS to not be the most intimidating place to play for every team on our schedule.

I think a lot of it has to do with the different cheers. LSU has a lot of cool cheers that gets the crows involved. Only cheer that I can really remember is Ala.....Bama.

I personally thing BDS is getting better. No stadium is great for the lower teir games, not Tiger Stadium not the swamp not BDS. I was suprised that BDS wasn't a little louder last year for the game, but it was much louder than the past games I thought. I think it is more of the crowd being priced out of the game like in all venues. I definately think if you haven't been there the last couple of years you have to go back. Its a great experieince and a beautiful stadium. As far as noise in the big games that I have seen personally its
1 Tiger Stadium
2 The swamp
3 BDS Used to be 6th before the renovations
4 Auburn
5 Tennessee back when they had something to cheer about
6 Georgia
7 atm
Haven't been to SC
